Magic Johnson & His Family Strike Poses with His Granddaughter in All White on Her Graduation

Proud grandfather, basketball legend Magic Johnson, and his family enjoyed a beautiful moment as they posed together in a lovely outfit during his granddaughter's graduation.

Magic Johnson might have wowed the world with his incredible skills on the court, but it is his gorgeous family moments that bring the best smile out of the basketball legend.

The former Lakers star shared a lovely picture on his Instagram where he congratulated his granddaughter Gigi on her graduation from 6th grade.

Magic shared a lovely clip that showed the excited Gigi walking up to the stage to collect her certificate. Gigi looked gorgeous in all-white attire and a black facemask in line with safety protocols.

The 61-year-old sports icon also shared a warming family photo alongside another post of Gigi and her best friend. Gigi is the child of Andre, Magic's eldest child from a previous relationship.

Proud dad Andre Johnson shared a lovely picture of his daughter and the family posing together on her big day. He wrote on the post,

"It's official, we have a 7th Grader!!!

Cookie Johnson also paid tribute to her granddaughter with a similar picture shared by Magic and Andre. In her caption to the post, she hailed the 7th grader as a beautiful and caring young lady.

Cookie and Magic have come a long way as one of the most successful sports couples, having spent more than three decades together. After being on and off for some years, the couple tied the knot and have remained married ever since.

Their union came under a great test two months after their marriage; while Cookie was pregnant with their first child together, Magic was confirmed to be HIV positive, a piece of news that would affect his career and almost his marriage.

To avoid the risk of an infection, the couple opted against having their own children, and in 1995, their daughter Elisa was adopted. Since then, the basketball legend has gone on to enjoy a close relationship with his children.

The Johnsons faced another difficult period in 2013 when Magic's son EJ came out as gay. The basketball legend found it difficult to understand but later threw his weight behind EJ to support his decision.

Last year, Cookie and Magic enjoyed a star-studded ceremony in celebration of their 60th birthday months after he stepped down as president of basketball operations for the Los Angeles Lakers. The father of three noted that he had no regrets and would always be a part of the Lakers family.
