AccuWeather Meteorologist Tom Bedard's meticulous marriage proposal plan came into fruition as he proved a point by asking his girlfriend and fellow meteorologist, Raya Maday, to marry him in front of a tornado.

According to a report, the lovebirds enjoy storm chasing in their spare time, and Maday specializes in severe weather forecasting and tracking tornadoes.

The report revealed the soon-to-be couple met at an Annual American Meteorological Society event in New Orleans in 2016. The duo was hired to work at AccuWeather at the same time, and there was a connection.

In the penned-down information, Maday noted that she and Bedard had always been heavily connected in the weather community, even from the day they met.

The relationship between the duo was a strong one, and on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, Bedard decided to finally execute his properly thought out proposal.

On a beautiful day, the meteorologists hit the road to storm chase as the NOAA Storm Prediction Center had predicted a severe weather condition on the level of two out of five. The duo was accompanied by some friends who had been hinted at about the plan.

Joey Krastel proposed to his boyfriend, Chris Scott, in front of a massive tornado in Kansas.

Arriving at the location, Bedard admitted that it was Maday who put them in the right spot for a proposal she knew nothing about. At 3 PM or 4 PM, the tornado finally touched down, and so did Bedard's knee.

The fiance explained that they were in an incredible canyonlike natural landscape as the lightning flashed and the cyclone swirled. He further added that he could not have asked for a better opportunity.

In an interview with Kansas.com, Maday described the unbelievable experience as "unmatched." She explained that she had no words for the proposal, but she noted that it was unreal.

Although the wedding date has not been fixed, Bedard and Maday jokingly admitted that it might be done during tornado season in Tornado Alley. It will enable them to capture awesome and rare shots.

In another story, Joey Krastel proposed to his boyfriend, Chris Scott, in front of a massive tornado in Kansas. The moment which was captured by their friend was shared on Twitter. In the caption, Krastel said the tornado and his boyfriend were the loves of his life.

Meteorologist Matthew Capucci also recalled an experience he had with a tornado that caused damages in Selden, Kansas. In a note, Capucci noted that such moments reminded him of how bizarre his wife was.

However, according to him, it is always like that when one's life revolves around capturing and sharing the atmosphere's power and beauty.
