Only two men on a sailing ship managed to evade being drowned by swimming off a small desert island after a turbulent storm destroyed their vessel at sea.

After that, neither survivor knew what to do. The two later decided to pray to God as they had no other choice. Their goal, however, was to determine whose prayer was more effective.

Following that, they decided to split the territory between them and live on different sides of the island. At the time of their prayer, the first thing they pleaded for was food because they were starving.

After waking up the next day, the first man discovered a tree that yielded fruit near where he lived, and he was able to eat its fruit. His prayer had been answered, and he was very happy.

Meanwhile, the land belonging to the other man remained unproductive. The man wept with deep sorrow. The following week, the man felt lonely and desired a partner, so he asked God for a wife.

A couple of days later, another vessel sank, and the only person to survive was a beautiful woman who made her way to his side of the land. The first man was ecstatic to have finally found a partner.

In the other part of the island, nothing stood out. In a few days, the first man asked God for a house, clothes, and more food. A few hours later, miraculously, they were all presented to him.

In the meantime, though, the second man's prayer remained unanswered. Ultimately, the first man asked for a ship so that he and his wife would be able to leave. He awoke the next day to find a ship waiting for him.

The first man decided to leave the second man behind when he boarded the ship with his wife. Since none of the other man's prayers had been answered, he considered him unworthy of God's blessings.

Just before the ship left, the first man heard a voice from heaven asking, "Why are you leaving your companion behind?" He responded that his blessings belong solely to him since he had prayed for them.

He went on to say that the prayers of the other man had not been answered; therefore, he had no right to expect anything. The voice then scolded the first man, telling him he was wrong.

"He only prayed once, and I gladly answered it for him. If I didn't answer it for him, I would not have blessed you," the voice said. Confused, the first man asked what he had prayed for that he owed anything to him.

"He prayed for the fulfillment of your prayers!" After hearing what the voice from heaven said, tears filled his eyes. The first man expressed remorse for his actions.

Moral: Despite what we may think, our blessings are not only the result of our prayers but include all the prayers we have received from other people. Embrace the joy of sharing blessings with others.
