"Duck Dynasty" star Kay Robertson was taken to the hospital in an emergency after the family dog bit her on the lip and left a big gash on her mouth.
The "Duck Dynasty" family has had quite a traumatic experience after the family's matriarch, Kay "Miss Kay" Robertson, sustained injuries on her lips after the family dog, Bobo, attacked her.
Phil and his son Alan Robertson discussed the issue with Kay's injuries on their "Unashamed" podcast. Phil recalled that Kay had walked in a rag to her lip.

She explained that Bobo bit her on the lip while she tried kissing him goodnight. Kay stated that the dog had been asleep and was startled by her presence, and he had reacted with defense.
In essence, he reacted and ripped her lips apart. Phil noted that he asked Kay to remove the rag from her lips, and he saw that one of her lips ripped in half in a quarter an inch.
Phil noted that the bleeding was profuse, and he had to transport the 73-year-old to the hospital quickly. The TV star noted that Kay's lips were stitched, and she was back at home recovering.
Still, on the podcast, Phil shared that he told his wife that she should have adhered to the old saying to "let sleeping dog lie." He also relayed what the family intended to do about Bobo.
Miss Kay is not the only "Miss" in the family. Other females go by the title because of their southern lifestyle.
Phil, 75, noted that Bobo was around through the peak of the "Duck Dynasty," and he had now developed cataracts due to years of past snake bites and being on the range.
Alan also spoke on the situation, noting that while his mom returned from the hospital, she explained to Phil that Bobo already met her when she got out of the truck.
Kay explained that Bobo apologized. To this effect, Alan added that that indicated that Bobo would stick around more. As for Kay, she has continued recovering while her facial stitches heal.
The "Duck Dynasty" lot has been in the spotlight for a while now, and as they garner fans from their adventure-based show, the family never forget their close-knit values.
One fun fact is that the Robertsons' Duck Commander warehouse serves as a tourist attraction for fans all over. Another fun fact is that Miss Kay is not the only "Miss" in the family. Other females go by the title because of their southern lifestyle.
