Angela Deem Shows off New Body Following Weight Loss & Plastic Surgery: ‘5 Weeks, 40 Pounds’

Reality star Angela Deem recently flaunted her new appearance after shedding an impressive amount of weight and having plastic surgery done on her breasts.

Angela Deem showed off her new look following weight loss and plastic surgery, and within five weeks, she has lost more than 35 pounds, she revealed on TikTok:

"It's been five weeks since I've had my weight loss and breast surgery, and I've lost 40 big pounds. Here comes sexy mee-maw."

The “90 Day Fiancé” star shared the good news on a video, looking in the mirror glancing at her body while wearing a black sports bra and black and white leggings.

In total, Deem has had five weight-loss surgeries and has overall shed 100 pounds of weight, a journey of hers which is being documented on "90 Day Fiancé: Happily, Ever After? season 6.

The 55-year-old opened up about her weight loss journey in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in March and revealed she realized she was gaining weight while in Nigeria.

Deem shared she said to her husband Michael Ilesanmi, "'I'm getting bigger or swollen,' I mean, like, I think I gained 20, almost 25 pounds. And it just hit me all at once," she explained.

She had liposuction, a gastric sleeve procedure, and a breast reduction in August 2020. Deem recounted the days before she shed the weight and said she used to be out of breath all the time.

She said her "face was blowing up" before the operations, adding, "I got to where I just didn't have any energy." Deem further explained that her kids also suffered. After all, she could not play with them outside because she could not move.

She revealed smoking also contributed to some of her health issues, “I know smoking doesn’t help, but this was something where you just know it was weight.”

Although Deem acknowledged smoking was not healthy for her, she was slammed for "dangerously" refusing to quit before losing weight.

The TLC star attempted to get her latest weight-loss surgery but was dropped by her doctor for not willing to stop smoking. Deem has been smoking since she was 13 years old.

When coming to her new appearance, the TV personality shared her 32-year-old spouse was also her motivation to do the multiple procedures. Deem said she has always wanted to enhance her look for Ilesanmi because of his age.

However, the Nigerian native was not supportive of her decision as he protested against the idea. Ilesanmi was portrayed as an unsupportive husband who was only interested in his wife's ample breasts on the reality show.

Despite that, Deem has undergone a complete makeover with lip fillers. However, fans are not impressed and have hinted that she appears rather older than younger, judging by her recent social media uploads.

Deem is receiving backlash from both her fans and her estranged husband, who is 24 years her junior. The pair met on Facebook and instantly developed trust issues since Ilesanmi was still residing in his home country back in 2019, among other things.

And so, Deem had to visit him in Lagos to work on their relationship. The Georgia native brought along the reality show's cameras with her.

The couple's relationship began on a rocky note, and they have broken up multiple times during their ups and downs. In April this year, Deem revealed married life to Ilesanmi has been difficult.

The pair got married in January 2020, and in an interview before her season 6 comeback, she revealed how she has thought about divorcing her partner.

She called the first week of their marriage “hell,” a week before returning to reality TV. Deem’s grandmother also disclosed the distance of 7,000 miles between the pair might have also been a factor in their strained relationship.

On Sunday, June 20, 2021, Deem revealed during one episode of the reality series that she was struggling to trust Ilesanmi and claimed he conned her into getting married. Deem shared her husband changed since they tied the knot.

Meanwhile, other reality stars of the show also got candid about getting plastic surgeries. Larissa Dos Santos Lima confirmed in September 2020 that she had multiple surgeries, including breast argumentation and rhinoplasty.

Lima also had liposuction on her abs and waist and a fat transfer to her buttocks. Rebecca Parrott got Dysport which is similar to Botox and lip injections. Parrott shared that she also had a mini tummy tuck, including micro-laser liposuction.
