"It's always with you, even if the world never met them."

Gracie's mom overlaid text onto the video where she wished her unborn baby a Happy Birthday. Marie also sent love to other parents who may have gone through something similar.

ANOTHER TRAGEDY

In a related story, a 9-month-old baby died this past Fathers' Day when it drowned at home in a bathtub. The North Carolina family and rescue personnel attempted to resuscitate the little one.

Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the baby still lost its life. Lenoir County Sheriff Ronnie Ingram sent his condolences to the family, with his office stating that they would be looking into any criminal intent behind the drowning.

DEALING WITH DEATH

From the tragic passing of Gracie to the loss of the 9-month-old baby, all families struggle throughout the grieving process. A helpful step they can take is to seek professional assistance, such as a counselor.

Men and women also tend to show grief differently. Women may want to open up about their feelings, and men may be more inclined to come across as tough and unfeeling in an attempt to protect their loved ones.

Whichever approach any individual may take, there is no right way to mourn. The best course is to provide grace to all family members during this challenging period.

Of course, if there are children in the family, they are most likely mourning as well. Some kids may blame themselves for what happened.

Parents and other family members should help them understand what happened in an appropriate way for their age. Relatives should also remember to take care of themselves and one another throughout this struggle.
