On Wednesday, HGTV’s Erin Napier took to Instagram to share a new image of her husband, Ben Napier, and their daughter Helen, 3. In the photo, Ben balanced their daughter on his shoulders as they took a walk.

The “Home Town” star was photographed from behind as he strolled wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt, sneakers, and shorts. His wife captioned the post by tagging him and noting how she loved parenting with him.

Ben did look much thinner than we’ve gotten used to. In fact, in January 2019, he revealed that he’d dropped 55 pounds over the course of 2018 while becoming a new father and working on "Home Town" with his wife.

He told “Today” that his health had always been at the forefront of his mind, and losing weight when he did felt right because of the big change of becoming a father. Seven years before that, the star lost 260 pounds!

He and his wife might be famous because of their hit show, which launched in 2017, but that doesn’t mean they put their fame above their marriage and children. The duo is actually much more focused than that.

The couple expanded their family in May 2021 when they welcomed their second daughter, Mae. The “Home Town” stars announced their second pregnancy in April 2021, two months before her birth.

After Mae was born, Erin revealed how thrilled Helen was to have a younger sibling. In her Instagram Story, the reality star shared a photo of her toddler holding Mae’s leg and confessed something quite cute.

The television personality revealed that Helen had gotten her nails done for the special occasion of becoming a big sister. The older sibling seems quite happy to play the new role.

In December 2020, during a “People” magazine interview, Erin explained how she and her husband rejected many offers because they’re much more dedicated and focused on their family.

When Erin got upstairs, Ben got down on one knee and asked her to marry him and the rest is history.

The couple was married in 2008. They met when they were students at Jones County Junior College before they both attended Ole Miss; later on, their mutual crush was realized with the help of their yearbook.

Erin happened to be an editor for the yearbook, and Ben was the kind of boy that the yearbook wrote a feature about. The book led the pair to become inseparable, and within six days, they each knew they'd found "the one."

In 2007, three years later, Erin was at a bookstore when her friend handed her a leather-bound book about college sweethearts. She was told to read it before she recognized the love story as her own.

Ben had written the piece and the last page urged his future wife to go upstairs to hear the rest of the story. When Erin got upstairs, Ben got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, and the rest is history.

On May 2, 2021, “Home Town Takeover” premiered as one of the spinoffs of the couple’s show. The other new Discovery+ streaming platform show is called “Home Town: Ben's Workshop.”
