Ree Drummond Looks Half Her Age Vacationing with Husband Ladd after Dramatic Weightloss – See Pics & Vids

Ree Drummond has worked hard at losing weight, and the work she's been putting in has shown tremendous results as seen in beautiful photos of herself and her husband vacationing in Colorado.

Anne Marie "Ree" Drummond, 52, has been vacationing with her husband, Ladd Drummond, in Colorado and wowing her fans with her new body goals after her dramatic weight loss.

"The Pioneer Woman" star started by posting a simple photo of herself and her husband with a long caption where she retells the story of how their first colorado vacation failed due to a truck accident.

In a second photo, she can be seen feasting on a turkey leg for lunch. She also shared a short video of herself and her husband running up some stairs and captioned it, saying how competitive they are as a couple.

She shared yet another photo where she is in a pink top and glasses and details how they take photos of themselves while on vacation. In another photo of herself and her husband, she captioned it:

"My hair is on fire…just like our love."

The couple had planned the vacation earlier in the year, but an unfortunate accident happened, and her husband broke his neck. He is, however, recovered and having a good time.

Drummond's fans could not help but notice the significant difference in her looks after the professional chef lost 43 pounds. She says that she hit rock bottom back in January and realized that she needed to do something about her weight.

She opened up about her weight-loss journey in her blog, saying that she felt inclined to get healthier, seeing as she'd become tired and puffy from all the weight she'd gained.

Within minutes, they were talking, and Drummond says she felt a connection.

She was also looking forward to having shed some weight before her daughter Alex's May wedding, and she achieved that by mindful eating, lots of moving around, and counting her calories. She also stopped taking alcohol and cut down on her sugar intake.

Her weight loss journey also involved a lot of dog walking and using the rowing machine. She has had the help of her husband and says even though she knows she is prone to weight problems, she will keep working on herself.

Drummond and her husband Ladd met in a smoky bar more than two decades ago, and at the time, none of them would have known that the chance meeting would lead to marriage.

Drummond had been desperate to meet up with friends and have a good time, and they went to a local drive. That is when she saw Ladd standing across the bar in cowboy boots and a pair of jeans. She says she first noticed his cowboy hands, adding:

"They were big and strong."

Within minutes, they were talking, and Drummond says she felt a connection. She hoped that he'd call her the next day, but after four months had passed without the call, she got ready to get on with her life.

And that's when Ladd finally called. They went out to dinner the next evening, and he kissed her on the front porch of her parent's house. They would later get married in 1996 and go on to have five kids.

She says that the secret to their long marriage is enjoying the little things together, such as meeting up on the couch to enjoy old Westerns and snacking on cheese.

Drummond is also very keen about appreciating her husband. On Father's Day, she did that by sharing a slideshow of the family's most treasured moments with Ladd as the children wrote him sweet messages.
