Daily Joke: Old Lady Comes Home and Finds the Place in a Mess

Little Johnny's parents decided to leave him with his grandparents for the summer holidays. He was very excited to spend time with his grandpa and grandma and immediately started packing his stuff.

The next day, his parents drove him to his grandparents' house, who were delighted to have their grandson around. They warmly welcomed Little Johnny and assured his parents that they would take good care of him.

There was not a single dull day with Little Johnny in the house. He cracked hilarious jokes and kept his grandparents entertained at all times. But sometimes, he was a little too mischievous, wreaking havoc everywhere.

One day, something similar happened when his grandmother left to fetch groceries from the nearest store, while his grandfather stayed back to look after him. Before leaving, his grandma sat down next to his grandpa and said:

"Are you sure you'll be able to look after Little Johnny while I'm gone? He can be a little hard to reason with at times."

However, the grandfather nodded his head and assured her that he'd take care of things. So granny dear left the house, telling Little Johnny that she'll come back soon and bring him a surprise gift.

Finally, grandma returned after some time, but to her utter dismay, everything in the house was topsy-turvy. She could not believe the picture in front of her eyes because the entire house was completely wrecked.

The couch cushions were all torn up, lying scattered on the floor, and paint was all over the walls. Even the dog was hiding under the bed, sticking out his tongue. Grandma was dumbfounded and ran to grandpa.

"What exactly happened in the house while I was gone?" cried, grandmother.

"Darling, do you remember two days ago when we caught Johnny sneaking chocolate before dinner?" asked grandpa.

"Yes..." replied grandma, wanting to say more until grandpa interrupted her.

"Well, and you remember that I made him chocolate until he barfed. And then after that, he didn't like the chocolate anymore?" added grandpa.

"Yes, but today...." grandmother wanted to continue, but she was cut off mid-sentence again.

"And you remember yesterday when we caught Johnny playing video games past his bedtime?" said grandpa.

"Yes..." answered grandma, who was clueless why grandpa wouldn't let her talk.

"Well, you remember I made Johnny play video games until his eyes hurt. And after that, he didn't like video games no more," explained grandpa.

"Yes, I do, but can you tell me what happened today?" asked grandma, tired of his detailed explanations.

"Well, today I caught him sneaking some from our wine bar," replied grandpa.
