Samantha Markle Speaks Out about Meghan Markle’s Obsession with Diana and the Harm Her Sister Causes Royals

On Wednesday, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, turned 40 and has continued to dominate headlines. Meanwhile, estranged half-sister Samantha launched a series of fresh attacks on her in an interview.

Looking back at the last few years of Meghan Markle's life, from a beloved actress starring on the hit series "Suits" to becoming the wife of Prince Harry and welcoming two kids, the Duchess has experienced a series of changes.

Now 40, Meghan remains one of the most controversial public figures in recent years, often garnering dividing opinions between fans and haters while maintaining a cold relationship with her family.

POOR TREATMENT OF HER FAMILY

Meghan's distant relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, and older half-sister Samantha is no secret amongst fans of the royal family and the actress. The actress is said not to have contacted her family in years.

In return, her father and sister continue to launch attacks on her, slamming her for her public antics, often disproving her claims about herself, leading to questions on how truthful the Duchess has been about herself.

As the mother of two turned 40, one would think it would be a perfect time for old wounds to be healed and a fresh start initiated but surprisingly, Meghan's half-sister made some new claims about the 40-year-old.

Samantha was a virtual guest on GB News alongside royal expert and host Dan Wootton. The 56-year-old actress whose career never kicked off like her younger sister's noted that Meghan had not been truthful about her admiration for Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

For her birthday message to Meghan, Samantha slammed the former actress for her treatment of her family and the royal family.

She charged the Duchess to grow up and stop cutting off her family. She asked her famous little sister not to treat those close to her as though they were dish rags.

She said, "First of all, you're not 12 or 19, and even if you were, Dad's given you everything your whole life and has been amazing to you. You have no right to treat him like this or the Royal Family or anyone; you are 40."

MARKLE HAS BEEN OBSESSED WITH DIANA

Wootten read a fan's question, which asked if it was true that Meghan was obsessed with Diana when she was a little girl. Samantha confirmed that, like many little girls, Meghan was obsessed with the late Princess.

She continued that Meghan had pictures where she tried posing like Diana, and they were published in her "tell-all" book "Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister," which spoke about Meghan's childhood and upbringing.

This is contrary to Meghan's claims that she knew nothing about the late Princess before her wedding to Harry. Samantha claimed Meghan knew a lot about the royal, studied their lives, and always wanted to be there.

The 56-year-old claimed Meghan's obsession with the royal family and Harry is not positive as it shows that she is only with Harry because of his position as a Prince in the royal family.

Meghan's relationship with Samantha reached an all-time low after publishing the tell-all book "Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister."

ESTRANGED FAMILY RELATIONS

Since then, the two sisters have had little or no contact, and Samantha was not invited to Meghan's 2018 wedding with Harry. Samantha continues to conduct various interviews wherein she slams her younger sister.

On the other hand, Thomas suffers a similar fate to Samantha and has not seen his grandchildren as Meghan has ensured to keep him far from her life.

TRYING TO BE A DIANA

The media has paid close attention to rumors that Meghan is trying to be like Diana. However, both women had different experiences during their time within the palace. From who they married to how they left the firm, everything looked different.

Other experts have claimed that Meghan desires to outshine Diana by doing all within her power to appeal to the public like the people's Princess did. Only time will tell the difference.
