After experiencing three miscarriages in seven months, Stacey Astley wasn’t sure if having another child would happen, so she gave her body a break.

But five weeks later, she discovered that she was carrying a child. Because of her past experiences, the mom-of-four had a scan at five weeks pregnant.

According to the sonographer, Astley had implantation next to her cervix, which caused concern. Still, her baby had a chance to survive. However, she began to bleed the following week and prepared herself for the worse possible scenario.

Fortunately, the sonographer said there was a heartbeat, giving Astley much hope. Another bad news came when doctors discovered a large hematoma growing beside the baby.

Two days before her following scan, Astley began to bleed again. At this point, she knew that it was another miscarriage, but her baby held on and showed yet another heartbeat.

“At my 16-week scan, the hematoma was finally shrinking, and at my 18-week scan, it was down to half of its previous size,” she shared. “I stopped bleeding at 19 weeks, and this [guardian angel] scan photo was taken at 20 weeks.”

The scan showed the image of an angel-like face looking down on her son as if leaning for a kiss. It was the kind of image that gave goosebumps to those who saw it. Astley shared:

“After everything I went through before he was conceived, and then everything we went through during the pregnancy [...] I think maybe there could be something or someone out there that was looking out for us.”

Her son, William, was later born with Sepsis. He weighed 9 pounds and 3 ounces, but he came with a fighting spirit, which Astley is grateful for.

It wasn’t long ago when another mom, Amy, from Runcorn, UK, also saw the face of her daughter, Rosie-Jean Gallagher’s guardian angel, in a pregnancy scan.

Rosie was born 16 weeks early, weighing only one pound and five ounces. In her first weeks, the baby was weak and had two bleeds on her brain, a lung hemorrhage, a hole in her bowel, and several septic infections.

Still, baby Rosie stayed strong and fought through it all until she could go home with her parents. Although she needed oxygen and a feeding tube, the newborn pulled through.

Amy believes that a guardian angel was watching over her daughter the whole time. “When I had a scan, there were always two faces, and I always said she’d got a guardian angel looking after her,” she shared. “From that day, I knew she was a little fighter.”

Many have felt the presence of a guardian angel during difficult situations, including a middle school teacher in Idaho, Krista Gneiting, who bravely disarmed a shooter in a school.

During the shooting incident, Gneiting felt an angel was on her shoulder, directing what to do and inspiring her to be brave at the moment.
