Twitter Divided Following Meghan Markle’s Dad Thomas Markle's New Bombshell Video: ‘Interview of the Year’

In what has been dubbed the "Interview of the Year," Thomas Markle appeared on GB News to speak about his relationship with his estranged daughter Meghan Markle, and Twitter has reacted.

77-year-old Thomas Markle bared his soul in a recent interview with GB News host following his daughter's silence after Thomas sent her roses for her 40th birthday.

The former TV lighting director had previously called out his daughter for not allowing him to meet his grandchildren, even threatening to take legal action against his daughter.

Father and daughter, who had a very close bond in the earlier years, have since suffered a very strained relationship, dating back before Meghan wed into the royal family. He insisted that he will keep taking interviews if it will help his daughter speak to him.

Speaking to GB News host Dan Wootton, Thomas spoke about his daughter Meghan and her husband Harry, saying attacking the queen and the royal family is embarrassing and unforgivable.

Twitter users have reacted largely to the interview, with some supporting Thomas' sentiments with comments about how wrong it was for the Sussexes to take the tell-it-all interview with Oprah behind the royal family's back.

Others felt that Meghan was doing her father wrong by not speaking to him and refusing to let him create a relationship with his grandchildren.

However, another royal fan wondered why Thomas, despite having other grandkids, has never met some and has no relationship with the rest. The reply read:

"Thomas has 7 grandchildren in total. He has never met 4 of them (2 oldest and 2 youngest) and barely has a relationship with the remaining 3."

This begs the question as to why Thomas is so determined to meet Meghan's children, seeing as he doesn't seem to be a present grandfather to his other grandchildren.

Others felt that Meghan and Harry did not attack the royal family, saying that it's been confirmed that both sides are on talking terms.

An irate fan expressed his disgust at Thomas, saying that the interview was just a smokescreen to cover up the ongoing scandal involving Prince Andrew.

[Samantha] also says that her dad is right for wanting to take legal action against Meghan if it will help him see his grandchildren.

He noted that any time there was something to cover up at the royal house, Thomas would be on this or that interview, bashing his daughter and her husband.

One commenter wondered why, at his age, Thomas is prioritizing making money off of bashing his daughter instead of genuinely trying to mend fences.

Another advised Meghan to forgive her father but keep him away from her family. They also noted that Thomas was the enemy and went on to write:

"Forgiveness doesn’t mean I want you in my life. You can forgive and never see or talk to a person."

In her interview with Oprah, Meghan opened up about her relationship with her father, saying that he'd betrayed her and she was finding it difficult to forgive him.

On the other hand, Thomas says that he blames Harry for the deteriorating relationship with his daughter. He says he was disappointed that Harry did not come to ask for Meghan's hand in marriage, as it should be.

Thomas, however, keeps taking interviews with the paparazzi, which seems to be one of the reasons why Meghan wants nothing to do with him.

Meghan's half-sister, Samantha Markle, supported her dad's sentiments about Meghan, saying she distanced herself from her own family after she wed into the royal family.

She also says that her dad is right for wanting to take legal action against Meghan if it helps him see his grandchildren. Contrary to reports made before, Samantha says that Thomas has a good relationship with his other grandkids.
