Woman Caught on Camera Stealing Package Delivery Was Driving a Golf Cart

In August, an unsuspecting woman was caught on camera as she committed package theft. She was seen escaping the crime scene in a golf cart, leading some to think she might live in the neighborhood.

In Houston, Texas, a woman wearing a cap and flowy dress was caught redhanded as she hopped off her golf cart and speedily made her way onto someone's porch.

She proceeded to grab 2 packages and then quickly took off in the cart. The man who was robbed shared that, fortunately, nothing valuable was stolen.

THIEF LIVES CLOSE BY

The "porch pirate" stole the parcels from Conrad Mueller, who resided on Ann Arbor Drive. Mueller believes the woman is someone who lives close by, perhaps even in the neighborhood.

He pointed out that she would not have been able to ride very far in the golf cart and hopes this will help authorities track her down so this doesn't happen again.

CHECKED THE SECURITY CAMERAS

The packages purportedly arrived on Sunday, but Mueller did not fetch them from his front door until Monday morning. When he realized they were missing, he checked his home's security camera and was stunned by what he saw.

Mueller said he had already ordered replacements for the stolen items but that was not his main concern.

The woman looked like an everyday citizen simply going for a drive down the street. However, she had ulterior motives and acted quickly when she saw an opportunity to grab a few parcels.

NOT VALUABLE

While the stolen goods were not of much value, they did inconvenience Mueller's plans. He shared that the woman took off with his new swimming cap and some snorkeling gear.

He had planned to go swimming but would now have to postpone it. Mueller said he had already ordered replacements for the stolen items, but that was not his main concern.

THE MOTIVE FOR STEALING

He was worried about what drove the woman to steal the packages in the first place. Mueller expressed: "Maybe, I don’t know, she didn’t know what she was doing, I guess."

The Houston Police Department is said to be investigating the felony of the stolen packages. Still, netizens wished she had been apprehended while she was in the act of stealing.
