PLAYING THE DOTING DAD
Being one of his best roles, Lee has excelled at being a dad since garnering his first experience. The proud dad never shies away from featuring his kids, Bryson and Jaxson, on his social media pages, giving fans a glimpse into their lives.
In honor of the last National Sons Day last September, the actor shared a photo of the two youngsters, aged seven and five, on Instagram. The picture showed them seated on a brick fence, looking handsome as they flaunted their charming smiles.
The father of two wowed fans again in November, sharing a string of photos of his oldest son, Bryson, as he marked his seventh birthday. The proud dad held back nothing while gushing about his love for the boy.
In another post, Lee shared a photo of Jaxson smiling excitedly as he held up a fish, utilizing the caption to wish him a happy fifth birthday. Another photo on Lee's Instagram featured the family of four seated on a wooden stall at the farmer's market, surrounded by pumpkins and oranges.
WHAT FATHERHOOD MEANS TO LEE
While Lee prides himself on being the best husband and father, there seems to be more to his parenting approach than meets the eyes.
The Hollywood icon is a doting dad to his sons, and never shies away from letting the world know that. During a 2015 interview, the icon went candid about his love for family and how he always looked forward to spending time with them.
He admitted his inclination to take the load off his then-pregnant wife as much as he could. Doing that meant spending more time with his oldest son. He explained:
"I've just (been) trying to spend as much time with my son, being that these are his final days – kind of like his last days – of being the only child."
The couple welcomed Jaxson in September 2015, joining their son, Bryson, who arrived two years earlier. During the father's day celebration in 2019, Lee's wife of ten years, Sheana Freeman, celebrated him with a heartfelt tribute.
She shared a photo of the doting dad and his two angels, hanging out in matching Chicago cubs jerseys, taking to the caption to gush about what an amazing dad he was. The star reposted the heartfelt tribute on his page, using the medium to extend father's day wishes to other dads.
