A 24-year-old performer was disappointed when her breasts grew from size C-cups to E-cups two months after breast reduction surgery.

Bethanie Lyon, a singer and dancer from Los Angeles had breasts that grew at an early age, and by 14, she knew that they would become big.

Having a big chest impacted Lyon's life in many ways. For one, it made dancing more difficult because of the added weight she had to bring.

Lyon's also faced challenges when buying clothes as fashionable pieces catered to women with flatter chests, not to mention the struggle with finding perfectly fitting bras. She shared:

"I was always a little embarrassed of their size. People commented constantly, and it felt like that was all people saw about me, and all anyone associated me with was having a big chest."

In addition, most lingerie stores carried a maximum of DDD, whereas she was a cup E. When back pain became a problem, the 24-year-old decided to have breast reduction surgery.

Despite the excruciating recovery process, Lyon paid $10,000 to go from a cup E to a cup C and was initially happy with the results.

She also knew that there were risks with having surgery and that her breasts might grow back, which they unfortunately did.

After three months, she noticed that her breasts were growing and splitting the seams of her clothes, and nine months later, they were back to their original size.

She believes that the growth might be because of her hormone changes or hyperthyroidism. "My genetics very well could have played a part in it too," she shared.

New York City plastic surgeon Dr. Douglas Steinbrech also cited possible reasons for regrowth, including what Lyon mentioned. He said:

"Changes in weight, pregnancies, stress and illness, and shifts in the hormone balance can all create reactions in the body. Even so, breast tissue regrowth is very rarely enough to require a second surgery."

It has been two years since her surgery, and Lyon's admitted that she has come to terms with her chest size. Still, having another surgery in the future remains a possibility.

Lyon's also reconsidered her lifestyle and how dancing strains her body. Instead, she has chosen to focus on her singing career.

Going under the knife is nothing new these days. Previously, reality star Angela Deem also sought help from a surgeon to reduce her chest size.

The "90 Day Fiance" star also had five weight-loss surgeries that shed a total of 100 pounds off her body, giving her a total makeover.
