The video showed Bloom paddleboarding while glancing at the large marine creature swimming below the waters of Malibu. The veteran actor, who donned black shorts in the clip, wrote in the caption:

"When fear becomes your friend and @themalibuartist captures the moment. 🦈🦈🦈😳"

While the English actor was thrilled with his experience, several fans felt anxious while watching the daring video, considering that the kind of shark he encountered is among the most dreaded predators of the ocean.

A frightened fan was not pleased watching Bloom's extreme adventure on the sea, while another fan called the video insane but praised the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor's bravery.

The movie star, who was young then,  suffered a terrible back injury in 1998.

One follower suggested that the actor leave the animal alone. Meanwhile, Katy Perry, Bloom's fiancé, broke the ice by suggesting he should put peanut butter on his body the next time he goes out to sea.

Paddleboarding with the Great White Shark comes five years after Bloom infamously took a similar water adventure with no clothes on. He was photographed entirely naked while on a beach trip with the "California Gurls" singer.

Adding a quirky note to his extreme outdoor experiences seems to be Bloom's favorite thing. Last month, he shocked fans with a daring photo of him skinny-dipping at a lake.

Bloom did not seem to regret having fun outside his comfort zone, considering that he once had a near-death experience years ago. The movie star, who was young then, suffered a terrible back injury in 1998.

He fell off the rooftop terrace that was three stories high, after climbing up with his friends. The impact, which crushed his spine, forced the injured actor to wear a full back brace until his full recovery.

To make up for his dangerous habits in the past, he has adopted an active lifestyle that helps keep him energized. He is also grateful for his limbs that help him push his limits and explore new things.
