Dean McDermott Sets Record Straight about 'Weird' Rumors Surrounding His Marriage

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s marriage is making headlines once again, not in a positive light. Consequently, Dean has taken it upon himself to set the record straight finally.

It all started in March, when “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum Tori Spelling was photographed without her wedding ring. The media went wild with their speculations as soon as the photos of the actress emerged.

For months, reports have claimed that the tumultuous couple’s marriage is on a rocky path, illuding to a possible divorce. These rumors have gone on so long that Dean McDermott finally decided to address them.

McDermott is letting people know that he is baffled about why they are so concerned with his relationship. The “Chopped Canada” alum clarified his thoughts during an interview on the “Feminine Warrior” podcast.

McDermott and Spelling famously weathered a cheating scandal in 2013, which put their marriage in the limelight. However, the “Due South” actor has had enough of the negative narrative’s surrounding his love life.

During the podcast interview, McDermott refers to the rumors about his marriage as “weird” while navigating the fixation around them. He also replied to the speculation by asking a simple, yet revealing question:

“‘What’s going on with Tori and Dean? She’s not wearing her ring.’ Why do you need to know that? How is that going to affect your day?”

Although McDermott insists that his marriage is fine and nobody’s business, some of Spelling’s own words make it challenging to believe. The actress recently revealed that she and her husband don’t sleep in the same bed.

Spelling explained that she shares her bed with her children and dogs while McDermott sleeps in his room. She further elaborated that they started sleeping apart when McDermott was away shooting for six months.

The fact that McDermott was not in last year’s family photo also fueled the troubled marriage rumors for the couple. Both parties also did not take to social media to celebrate their wedding anniversary in May.

However, McDermott’s recent public support for his wife supports his narrative that their relationship is okay. The 54-year-old commented an uplifting message on one of Spelling’s Instagram posts.

Spelling shared an image of herself in front of an “E! News” sign, announcing her hosting spot for “Daily Pop.” She revealed how excited she was for the gig in her caption, and McDermott commented that he was proud of her.

McDermott and Spelling have been married since 2006 and have been open about their relationship woes in the past. The couple shared their cheating scandal on their reality TV show, in a documentary, and in interviews with the press.
