Nicola Coughlan Tweets 'Bridgerton' Season 2 Trailer – Fans React with Excitement
Actress Nicola Coughlan thrilled several fans after sharing the first trailer of the second season of "Bridgerton," a highly-anticipated period series on Netflix, on Twitter. See the fans' reactions.
Actress Nicola Coughlan may be best known for portraying Clare Devlin in "Derry Girls," but she is more famous for her character as Penelope Featherington in the "Bridgerton" series.
The 34-year-old Irish actress recently sent fans into a frenzy after she uploaded a new trailer of the Netflix-led series on Twitter. The clip shows actor Jonathan Bailey and a new cast member, Simone Ashley.

Bailey reprises his role as Anthony Bridgerton while Ashley plays Kate Sharma. The new season will revolve around Anthony's search for a potential partner. Meanwhile, Coughlan wrote on Twitter:
"#Bridgerton Season Two!!!! You are not ready."
In the sneak peek of the recently renewed season, Anthony approached Kate at the garden. They got into a heated exchange after Kate expressed disappointment over his open requirements for a wife.

True enough, Twitter users seem unprepared for Coughlan's announcement. After watching the clip, a fan expressed excitement about the upcoming series, writing that the second season might be even better than the first one.
She recently revealed she wanted to quit acting, but then "Bridgerton" came along.
The series, set during the Regency Era in London, was inspired by Julia Quinn's best-selling novels of the same title. Another fan expressed hope that the new season will be as "spicy" as the book.
Coughlan revealed in a recent interview that the next season would be fun. She teased about the exciting chemistry between Bailey's and Ashley's characters, which will dazzle fans.
In the new season, Coughlan noted Ashley's on-screen family as lavish and stunning. The Sharma family will have actresses Charithra Chandran play as Kate's sister, Edwina, and Shelley Conn as their mother, Mary.
The new trailer comes after Regé-Jean Page announced his exit from the series. It's unclear whether Page will make a surprise appearance, but he left the door open for any possible cameos.
During the 2021 Emmys, the critically-acclaimed drama series won its first award for Outstanding Period and/or Character Hairstyling. The hit show scored 12 Emmy nominations last year.
In both her "Derry Girls" role and the period drama, Coughlan seems to have hit the jackpot. Her parents once encouraged her to pursue teaching when she was struggling with her acting career.
