Melanie Griffith Celebrates Daughter Dakota Johnson's 32nd Birthday with Stunning IG Photo

Actress Dakota Johnson recently celebrated her birthday and her mother, Melanie Griffith, was one of the people who wished her well on the day. Griffith’s post included a loving photo.

At the beginning of the week, Dakota Johnson celebrated her 32nd birthday. According to People, the “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress was joined by her mother, Melanie Griffith, 64, and a friend.

The magazine shared an image of the trio enjoying a meal at an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. They ate their dinner while laughing outside the establishment at a candlelit table.

Griffith made sure to pay tribute to her daughter on her social media account. The actress uploaded a sweet black-and-white photo of her nuzzling her daughter and captioned the post, writing:

“Happy Birthday my gorgeous girl!”

The proud mother described her daughter as being full of mystery, love, and magic. She concluded her simple post by noting how she loved her with all of her heart.

This year, Johnson went for a much more subdued celebration than the one she had for her 30th birthday. That year, she and her boyfriend, Chris Martin, were joined by some friends and family.

Martin’s ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, was also invited to the shindig. At the time, a People source said the actress had a “huge birthday celebration,” which she appeared to enjoy.

The intention for the change is for her [Stella Banderas Griffith] to be able to shorten her name.

The insider said it was quite evident that Johnson was loved because many of her friends pitched, including Paltrow. Martin surprised his girlfriend with a cake shaped like her dog Zeppelin.

However, for her 32nd birthday celebrations, Martin was nowhere to be seen. The “How to Be Single” actress and the singer and Coldplay frontman have been in a relationship for four years

Griffith shares Johnson with fellow actor Don Johnson. Besides her daughter, Griffith also shares another younger daughter, Stella Banderas Griffith, 25, with actor Antonio Banderas.

Last month it was reported that Banderas Griffith was looking to drop her mother’s last name. The young model filed a petition for the name change in Los Angeles, according to People.

The entrepreneur was born Stella del Carmen Banderas Griffith but hoped to make her legal name be Stella del Carmen Banderas. The intention for the change is for her to be able to shorten her name.
