At the scene, police found several guests, including the actor and one of his daughters. It is unclear which of his three daughters, Deni, 28, Zoe, 25, and Makani, 15, were with him.

The outlet reported that a man who seemed intoxicated was taking photos of Harrelson and his daughter. The 60-year-old actor confronted him, asking him to stop and delete the pictures.

An altercation between the men ensued. As Harrelson told police, the man lunged at him "in an attempt to grab his neck." Harrelson then punched him in the neck in an act of self-defense.

Police spoke to witnesses who corroborated Harrelson's story. Based on the accounts of witnesses, police decided it was the man and not Harrelson who had been the aggressor in the situation.

This is not the first time the "Zombieland" actor... has found himself in an altercation with photographers.

This is not the first time the "Zombieland" actor, currently in Washington filming for his HBO series, "The White House Plumbers," has found himself in an altercation with photographers.

Harrelson has had a few run-ins with paparazzi over the years. In 1994 he was ordered to pay a photographer almost $5000 after getting into a scuffle with two photographers.

Later in 2008 and 2009, different photographers accused Harrelson of assault and damaging their camera equipment. The first case was dismissed after Harrelson and the photographer reached a settlement.

For the 2009 incident, which took place in LaGuardia Airport in New York, no charges against Harrelson were ever filed, and no legal action occurred.
