Clint Eastwood’s Daughter Alison Once Defended Dad amid Yearlong Divorce Battle with 2nd Wife
Actor Clint Eastwood separated from his wife Dina Eastwood nearly ten years ago. Their divorce sparked rumors of a heated argument between the two, which according to his daughter Alison, were inaccurate.
In September 2013, Clint Eastwood’s daughter Alison Eastwood came to his defense following speculations that his divorce from ex-wife Dina Eastwood was filled with drama.
The former couple had been married for 17 years, and according to Alison, they remained cordial even after their split. The actress addressed the reports in an interview with People.

ALL GOOD
At the time, news reports stated Clint, then-83, and Dina, then-48, had an argument that threatened to ruin Alison’s wedding to longtime boyfriend, Stacy Poitras. However, she said the complete opposite happened:
“We had an amazing wedding. It was a wonderful night. My father and Dina were cordial, and it was a beautiful family affair.”
The exes had been living apart for a while before they parted ways. At the time, the news reporter took to social media and noted she had no hard feelings towards her former husband.

Taking to Twitter, Dina wrote she did not enjoy reading negative comments about Eastwood, saying he is a wonderful, good-natured brilliant person.
She added that no matter what, she could attest to that statement. A source close to the couple revealed the pair were great together. Sharing their marriage was more of a close, loving friendship.
THE CRACKS
However, something broke within the duo’s union, and multiple sources revealed it all came tumbling down when Dina did the “Mrs. Eastwood and Company.”
It was a reality show that featured the couple’s kids and Overtone, the acapella group the TV news anchor managed. Eastwood made a few appearances as a guest star, and according to People, he appeared uncomfortable.
An insider revealed the Hollywood legend was furious about the show as it went against everything he stood for. According to the source, Eastwood is incredibly private, and Dina exposed his kids on TV, which was not a happy period for them.

By June 2012, their marriage fell apart; the film director had stopped wearing his wedding band. Even though they were still living under the same roof, at their family home in Carmel, the two slept in separate rooms, multiple sources confirmed.
At the end of that same year, insiders disclosed Dina started leaning on a friend from high school Scott Fisher who was finalizing his divorce from Erica Fisher at the time.
The pair had been married for ten years, court papers stated. Things worsened for Eastwood and Dina as Erica started reaching out to the “Cry Macho” star in early 2013.
CHECKING INTO REHAB
Eastwood himself returned Erica’s calls, and the two sparked to each other, and by March that year, they were dating. Dina found out about their romance shortly after Alison’s wedding.
A family source revealed the mom of one was stunned by the news and did not know what to make of it, adding she went into a tailspin.
Soon after learning about their relationship, Dina checked herself into rehab in Arizona due to the cause of stress. However, an insider disclosed the real reason was her shock over Eastwood and Erica’s relationship.
DIVORCE & CUSTODY BATTLE
Months later, Dina grew close to Scott, and they became a couple even though a source claimed they took things slowly amid all the chaos.
In October 2020, Dina and Eastwood finalized their divorce. The actress filed in October 2013, but the then-estranged couple had been fighting for custody over their only child together, Morgan Eastwood, and spousal support.
Seeing that their daughter had already turned eighteen during the period of their separation, there was no longer a need for custody.
ABOUT MORGAN
On December 12, 1996, Morgan was born in Los Angeles, California, and was named after her maternal grandmother. The youngster starred alongside her father in the movie “Changeling” back in 2008.
The 24-year-old actress grew up having an everyday life and has three half-siblings. She is the niece of Dominic V. Ruiz and Jade Marx-Berti.
FACTS ABOUT DINA
As for her mother, the “KSBW” star was born Dina Marie Ruiz in 1965. She graduated from Mission San Jose High School Fremont and anchored for “Newsline” for Ohlone College Television.
Dina graduated in 1988, and two years later, she was hired as a reporter. A year after that, she got a job at “KSBW” as a news anchor. She and Eastwood first met while doing an interview in 1993.
On March 31, 1996, the couple tied the knot and had their daughter Morgan within their union. Dina retired from “KBSW” to spend more time with her husband and child.
DINA REMARRIES
Now that she and Eastwood are no longer together, Dina remarried Scott at the Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Babara, California, in 2016.
The bride and groom donned white outfits for their special day at the time. Dina took to Instagram, sharing snaps from their wedding, and said she was still on cloud nine.
Meanwhile, despite continuing to date Erica back then, her ex-husband Eastwood moved on with Christina Sandera, a hostess from his Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel.
The pair have been dating for years and even live together. Sandera moved in with Eastwood at the family house he used to share with Dina, Closer Weekly reported at the time.
NO MARRIAGE YET FOR CLINT
However, despite being cooped up under the same roof, Eastwood has revealed he does not feel the need to get married for the third time around. This year, a source told US Weekly that the “Gran Torino” actor loves Sandera, but he does not need marriage.
He and the 56-year-old have been dating since 2014. An insider has also revealed the blonde beauty has already met Eastwood’s kids and that they all adore her. She and Eastwood made their debut as a couple when they attended the Oscars together in 2015.
