La la Anthony Proudly Shows Her Teen Son Who Is Taller Than Her amid ‘Really Hard’ Divorce with His Father Carmelo Anthony

"Think Like A Man" actress La La Anthony is a proud mom. Taking to her Instagram on Tuesday, she posted a photo of her 14-year-old son, who is now taller than her.

La La Anthony is not letting her divorce dim her light. She is still the proud mother she has always been to her son, Kiyan Carmelo. The two posed for a photo in matching orange gear in solidarity with New York Yankees.

In the photo, the two are standing in close quarters with Anthony's hand on her son's shoulder as they both face the camera. The height difference is evident as Kiyan towers over his mother, even though she is in heels.

ANTHONY FILES FOR DIVORCE

Kiyan is Anthony's only child, who she shares with Carmelo Anthony, a Los Angeles Lakers star. The couple married in 2010 at Cipriani's in New York before three hundred and twenty guests.

Their wedding aired as part of the couple's reality series "La La's Full Court Wedding." Their life together continued to be chronicled in the series "La La's Full Court Life."

In June, La La filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. However, the couple was long separated and had announced that they had split in 2017, after seven years of marriage.

Even though the split was amicable, Carmelo did not want to lose his family and tried to make things work. According to E! Online, Anthony still loved Carmelo and was hesitant to file for divorce.

After being separated for years and with no hope of working things out, Anthony finally decided it was time to go ahead and file for divorce.

According to People, the reality star is now focused on self-love and is taking care of herself. She is looking to channel her attention towards what she loves doing. Her life has always been about others, but she is now changing that.

CO-PARENTING WITH CARMELO

Her son, a high schooler, is also among her priorities. The "Power" star says despite the divorce from Carmelo, they have struck a balance regarding co-parenting their son.

Anthony revealed how amazed she is by the kind of partner Carmelo is when it comes to co-parenting Kiyan. They have both put their differences aside and focused on Kiyan's needs.

She appreciates that they have remained friends and there is no drama between them, which has helped Kiyan a great deal in transitioning from his parents being married to being divorced.

The star has also opened up about her love life, saying she is open to love but is not looking to get married soon. She, however, is optimistic about what the future holds.
