Brittany Matthews' Fans Guess Possible Wedding Date after Patrick Mahomes Wife-To-Be Teases the Countdown

Kansa City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife-to-be Brittany Matthews are counting down the days until they say "I do" and fans are curious to know when exactly they will.

Kansa City Chiefs footballer player Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews have been busy planning their wedding after getting engaged in September 2020 at the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium.

However, the couple took a detour to their wedding after announcing they were pregnant with their first child together that same month. Their daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes was born at the beginning of 2021.

At the time, both parents shared a close-up of their new baby holding Mahome's finger while she was resting on Matthews's chest to announce her birth.

Shortly after Sterling's birth, the couple turned their attention to planning their wedding as they announced they had set the date and found a venue, alongside photos of the pair from a romantic shoot. However, they did not share any specific details.

Recently, Matthews had fans speculating about the wedding date as she shared new photos of herself in a bride-inspired-white ensemble, which she captioned:

"Let the countdown begin✨💍🥂"

Besides sharing their excitement for the upcoming nuptials, many of Matthews's followers took the opportunity to guess what date Matthews and Mahomes were counting down to.

Many guessed spring 2022. One user commented that Matthews had previously revealed in a separate post that the couple's wedding was scheduled for May 2022.

In the new mother's post about her date and venue (mentioned above), Matthews used the hashtag #2022, perhaps as an indicator that the wedding would only occur next year.

However, that did not stop other hopeful fans from speculating that the wedding could happen much earlier. One eager Instagram user asked whether it was a Christmas wedding.

Fans of the couple will have to wait to find out exactly when the couple will tie the knot. However, Mahomes and Matthews plan to incorporate their adorable daughter into the special event no matter the day.

During an interview with People magazine in July 2021, the NFL player revealed that Sterling would be over a year old at the wedding, and so the "hope" was she would be able to walk and be the flower girl.

However, even if his adorable baby girl cannot be the flower girl for whatever reason, the doting father said, "she'll be a part of the wedding no matter what."

Mahomes and Matthews have a sweet love story as they were high school sweethearts. Football fans fell in love with the couple and their story when Mahomes led the Chiefs to win the 2020 Superbowl.
