Sterling K. Brown is a proud father of two boys, Andrew and Amaré. Andrew once called his father's "This Is Us" costar, Mandy Moore, "mom," and believed the cast members were his father's family members.

Sterling K. Brown portrays a husband and family man named Randall Pearson on the hit drama "This Is Us." Brown is as devoted and caring to his family as his onscreen persona in real life too.

Brown is married to fellow actor Ryan Michelle Bathé. Their relationship has played out into their careers because they have worked on projects together, such as "This Is Us" and "Army Wives."

However, the most important job they have worked on together is being parents to their two adorable boys, Andrew and Amaré. Brown once revealed he and Bathé unexpectedly gave birth to their firstborn at home.

In 2017, Brown tweeted an emotional scene from "This Is Us" where Randall helps his wife Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) give birth at home. The actor wrote he and Bathé experienced the same situation:

Fortunately for the new parents, everything went well, and they welcomed their second child. During interviews, Brown regularly shares hilarious and sweet anecdotes about his two young children and insight into parenthood.

Brown discussed the acting roles that have affected his children the most. He explained that watching the "Black Panther" scene where his character N'Jobu's son Killmonger died left Andrew traumatized.

While talking to Seth Meyers on his show, Brown explained Andrew was impressed with the movie but was left crying and shaking after witnessing Brown's onscreen son die.

Brown has shared a few more lighthearted moments, including his son believing his "This Is Us" costars are Brown's actual family members and consequently he called Mandy Moore, who is several years younger than Brown, "mom."

Brown has spoken less about his youngest, perhaps because Amaré is only five. However, he has shared adorable photos of the boys, including a snap of them, dressed up and ready to watch a Chargers game.

Andrew and Amaré have a long way to go before creating a name for themselves in whatever industry they choose. So far, it seems Andrew might be headed to science as Brown once said he wanted to be a scientist.
