John Legend’s Wife Tried to Ignore Pics of Him with Other Women for a Year after Their 1st Night Together
John Legend was one of the hottest bachelors in Hollywood when he met Chrissy Teigen on the "Stereo" music video set. They spent a great night together, but he was not the kind of person to fall in love at first sight.
They spent a year chatting and calling each other. Chrissy Teigen had to ignore his photos with other women, but their relationship became stronger, and finally, they got married. They raised two kids, but disaster struck in 2020.
Chrissy Teigen suffered a miscarriage, which brought the pair closer and strengthened their marriage. Now they are happy to be together, and John Legend confesses that she changed him and now he wants to be only with her.

Born John Roger Stephens on December 28, 1978, the musician and songwriter learned to play piano as a child. After he graduated from the university, he worked in consulting but performed in nightclubs in New York.
The Grammy Award winner released his debut album "Get Lifted" in 2004 and got his career breakthrough with the song "Ordinary People."
In 2018, he became the first African American man and the youngest person ever to have won the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards.
HOW LEGEND MET HIS WIFE
Legend and Teigen met in 2006 when she was cast in his music video while she worked as a catalog model. When Teigen went into his dressing room, she found him ironing.
She was shocked he did his ironing and ended up hugging him. They chatted and ate In-N-Out burgers later that night at his hotel. She admitted that they hooked up, but then he left on tour.
Being away from each other and busy with their different schedules, Legend and Teigen spent the next year texting and talking to each other on the phone.

TEIGEN ON IGNORING LEGEND
While they talked and texted, Teigen had to ignore pictures of Legend with other women on the red carpet. She wanted him to be himself for a while.
Before Teigen, Legend reportedly dated Victoria's Secret model Jessica White in 2005, and in 2006, he was linked to socialite and musician who is Osama bin Laden's estranged niece, Wafah Dufour.
In 2006, there were dating rumors between Legend and a Nigerian model Tayo Otiti, but neither commented on their relationship. That same year, he was reportedly dating Brazilian model Danielle Abreu.

For Legend, being in different cities every day meant having women throwing themselves at him. He knew he had to be disciplined and be with someone who trusted him and whom he wouldn't want to cheat on.
Being cautious made him not fall for Teigen immediately. It took Legend a couple of years to grow into that feeling, and he could see them being together forever.
LEGEND AND TEIGEN SPLIT UP
While they were dating, Legend tried to break up with Teigen, but that didn't go so well. According to Legend, he felt stressed, was busy, and thought he'd be happier single.
However, Teigen said no to him because she understood his voice hurt with him being on tour, and Legend was whiny about everything.
She wasn't about to let him have what he asked for, and the attempted breakup lasted only half an hour. Her resilience paid off as they married in September 2013.
The couple, who got married at the luxurious Villa d'Este overlooking Lake Como, had their wedding delayed for over four hours as some of their family members had travel issues.
Being an anxious bride who loves bridal shows, Teigen never liked planning her wedding, so she got a wedding planner but loved it when it was time for their wedding tasting menus.
When planning her wedding, her anxiety made her buy five wedding dresses because she felt guilty just trying dresses on. She ended up wearing three Vera Wang dresses for her day.
The couple shares two adorable children, a daughter Luna and a son Miles. The children, who play the piano, also spend time with their dad at "The Voice."
They also play with their pets, listen to their father's songs while being obsessed with desserts made by their mother, and have their parents capture the moments.
TEIGEN'S MISCARRIAGE AND HOW THEY COPED
In 2020, tragedy struck as Legend and Teigen lost their third child, whom they named Jack, after suffering pregnancy complications halfway along in her pregnancy.
Teigen was diagnosed with partial placenta abruption and worked with her doctors to manage the pregnancy for 28 weeks. Unfortunately, they had to say goodbye to their 20-week-old son.
The couple experienced shock and deep pain, but Teigen said they would grieve and cry their eyes out, but they would also hug and love each other harder to get through it.
On looking back, Legend said he was worried and never comfortable when his wife had asked him to take pictures, but he knew the photos would give them something to remember.
He was grateful she dared to do them because he never thought they could experience such grief and be able to share it with others afterward.
Several months later, Teigen reminisced on the painful moments with Ellen Degeneres, and she said the pain she went through somehow made her a better person.
The loss and pain were transformative for her, and in a way, it saved her because she wouldn't have discovered therapy and sobriety without it.
For Legend, he said the experience brought them closer. In an interview, he shared,
"I just know that I love my wife more than ever. We've been through so many challenges together, and they've made her stronger, and I know that doesn't always happen when people go through tragedy."
He added that he felt the challenges they had faced together made them feel even more sure about who they are together as a couple and as a family.
THE SECRET TO THEIR SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE
The couple revealed that the secret to their successful marriage lay in their love, respect, and admiration for each other. They also enjoy each other's company as his wife makes him laugh all the time while he makes her laugh occasionally.
Legend confessed that he had a "history" of cheating in his 20s. However, after things became serious with Teigen, he realized he was happier being honest.
Also, he was happier being faithful and being in love with one person. He decided that person was his wife, and he wasn't going to mess around anymore.
