They are doting parents to three children, James, Inez, and Betty. Let's look at Ryan Reynolds's life outside the big screen.
REYNOLDS'S DATING HISTORY
Ever since he made his debut appearance in the role of Billy Simpson in the hit teen soap opera "Hillside," Reynolds has attracted the attention of the female audience and celebrities due to his good looks.
The icon is married now. However, he is still known for his past relationships, especially with famous women. Reynolds made the headlines in 1996 when he was romantically involved with Melissa Joan Hart. The pair met on the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" set and dated for a few months before breaking up.

Two years later, he began a relationship with Traylor Howard. Reynolds and Howard's short-lived romance lasted only eight months. He dated Kristen Johnson for a year, Rachel Leigh for some months, and Alanis Morissette for five years.
After Reynolds's relationship with Morissette ended in 2007, the actor found love in the arms of Scarlett Johansson. They married in 2008 and divorced three years later.
Following his divorce in 2011, Reynolds was in the news many times that year, as he was romantically involved with several celebrities.
They were Sandra Bullock, Agnes Fischer, and Charlize Theron. After his flings with these stars ended, the actor connected with his wife, Lively.
Before the couple started dating, Lively ended her three-year relationship with Penn Badgley the previous year. According to a source, the pair remained good friends afterward and still spent time together on set.
REYNOLDS AND LIVELY'S LOVE STORY
Reynolds and his second wife first met in 2010 on the set of "Green Lantern." During a chat with co-host Jason Bateman on an episode of the "SmartLess" podcast, the actor noted that they became friends not long after they met.
One year after their meeting, the duo went on their first date together: A double date. However, it was with different people, as they were already in relationships at the time.
After the double date, Reynolds and Lively remained friends and kept in touch on a platonic level. The former said it was not until a week later that he fell in love with her.
Recalling the experience, Reynolds revealed coincidentally, he and Lively were to travel to Boston at the same time. So, the "Deadpool" star offered to ride with the actress, and the pair jumped on the same train.
While on the train, Reynolds said he begged Lively to sleep with him. He would play the pity party game by using tear sticks to get tears dropping from his eyes and telling a sad story.
Reynolds's ploy worked, and the pair started dating. The actor explained that their romance metamorphosed into a lifelong commitment when he suggested that they buy a house together, and they did.
The couple kept their relationship private for a while. However, they first sparked dating rumors on October 22, 2013, when they left Reynolds's house together. The following day, the duo was spotted for the second time together, spending time on Reynolds's 35th birthday.
INSIDE THEIR CONTROVERSIAL WEDDING
Reynolds and Lively tied the knot on September 9, 2012, in a quiet ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
The bride donned a Marchesa-designed silk Tulle ballgown for the occasion, featuring illusion crystal beading on the shoulders, a fitted bodice, and rose gold embroidery.
She walked down the aisle with a bouquet comprising Andromeda, pink jasmine, blushing bride hydrangea, and dusty miller. After the wedding ceremony, the couple moved to the stunning reception venue, where they had a lovely event.
Many looked forward to the occasion, and although it lived up to expectations, it was controversial. The venue, which had 270-year-old trees dripping with Spanish moss, was where the African community was subjected to violence and terrible abuses.
It had nine slave cabins and was nicknamed "slave street," hence the wedding controversy. In September 2020, Reynolds addressed the issue, noting that at the time, he and his wife only saw the place as a wedding venue but later saw it as a place built upon tragedy.
He apologized, noting that getting married at the venue was something he and Lively were sorry for. Although getting married at Boone Hall plantation was a mistake, having a private ceremony was not.
Shortly before the wedding, Lively told Allure that although she can be outgoing, she is timid and loves privacy. But over the years, Lively has been vocal about her relationship with Reynolds.
In 2013, the actress revealed that she was free to make decisions, especially in fashion, despite being married. Also, the pair shared responsibilities, even during decorations. Speaking about decorating their home in New York, Lively said she was lucky to marry a man with better taste.
THE COUPLE'S PARENTING JOURNEY
Reynolds and Lively are accomplished movie stars, but the pair's priorities are their kids. The latter's decision to start a family came following her previous claim of wanting a large family. So, in December 2014, the couple welcomed their first child and daughter, James.
They expanded their family in September 2016, following the birth of their second daughter, Inez. The last of their children, Betty, arrived in October 2019.
Since the arrival of his daughters, Reynolds has spoken candidly about how much he cherishes fatherhood. During an interview with Access Hollywood correspondents Gia and Dominic Lopez, the actor said he has loved every second of being a "girl dad."
According to Reynolds, he is being around for his daughters and spending a lot of time with them as a family has been the best part of fatherhood.
The Hollywood star proved how much he loved his daughters last year when he revealed he was taking a sabbatical from acting to focus on raising his girls. According to Reynolds, he did not want to miss spending time with his kids, adding that he wanted them to have a regular schedule.
THE SECRET TO THE PAIR'S SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE
Today, Reynolds and his wife share a strong bond, and fans cannot help but wonder about the secret behind their successful marriage. But last year, the "Deadpool" actor opened up about why his marriage was successful.
Reynolds confessed that he and Lively don't take each other too seriously. In addition, the couple grows together, learns together, and likes each other. Reynolds revealed that he was lucky to have a buddy in his wife.
On the other hand, Lively has admitted to being head over heels in love with her husband, and fans can attest to it. On Valentine's Day, she took to Instagram to share a lovely picture of herself and Reynolds smiling heartily. She added the caption:
"Find me a better friend.❤ I'll wait…."
Fans and fellow celebrities gushed about the lovely couple in the comments section, wishing them more happy years of love and friendship.
