Fans of the ABC dancing competition "Dancing With The Stars" are not oblivious to the fairytale romance dwelling between their two favorite dancers — Val Chmerkovskiy and his leading woman, Jenna Johnson.

The following year, the lovebirds sparked relationship rumors after Chmerkovskiy was spotted during the "Dancing With The Stars" rehearsal, kissing Johnson on the cheek. However, the pair remained discreet about their relationship.
Surprisingly in 2016, rumors of a supposed relationship between Chmerkovskiy and Johnson stopped, as the former allegedly started dating Amber Rose.

In 2017, the dancer and Rose were spotted at different locations, and their romance was confirmed. Unfortunately, it ended that same year. Shortly after Chmerkovskiy and Rose broke up, the "Dancing With The Stars" icon reunited with Johnson and rekindled their romance.
They went public with the news in June 2017 via a series of Instagram stories. The lovebirds shared pictures from their vacation in Marseilles, France. Here are more details about Chmerkovskiy and Johnson's relationship.
CHMERKOVSKIY PROPOSED TO JOHNSON IN A SCENIC CAFE IN VENICE
After the dancers' reunion in 2017, they made sure to keep their fans updated via social media posts and interviews. During one of the chat sessions with The Insider, Chmerkovskiy spoke candidly about his deep love for Johnson. He also admitted to being interested in tying the knot.
The dancer explained that he was in a great place, in love, and had the "wedding bug" in his head. One year later, Chmerkovskiy confirmed his claims.
He proposed to Johnson on the second day of their vacation in Venice, Italy. He made sure they had a perfect day before popping the question. They did various fun activities like eating Italian pizza, getting fresh gelato, and checking out some artwork by Leonardo Da Vinci.

"I can't wait to make you my wife❤👑."
Getting married to Johnson had always been on the dancer's mind before he proposed. He revealed to Us Weekly that he knew she was the right person for him when he saw how important family was to Johnson.

INSIDE THEIR TWO WEDDING CEREMONIES
Chmerkovskiy and Johnson walked down the aisle on April 13, 2019, at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palo Verdes, California.
For the occasion, the bride looked stunning in a Vera Wong gown with sheer long sleeves and a slight mermaid silhouette. On the other hand, the groom was clad in a full velvet custom Brooks Brothers tuxedo jacket and pants.
The couple exchanged their vows under a gorgeous chuppah decorated with beautiful flowers and in front of 200 guests, consisting of closest family and friends. Chmerkovskiy was delighted to have Johnson by his side forever. He confessed to People:
"My life has changed because of [her,] and I find myself to be the best version of myself that I've ever been. She's awesome."
Two months after the couple's California wedding, they had another wedding ceremony in Utah, Johnson's hometown. She shared snaps from the event on her Instagram page, noting that the entire week was the best in her life.
All of Johnson's immediate family members, her childhood friends, neighbors, and Chmerkovskiy's family members were present for the occasion. Indeed, it was an event to remember.
COVID-19 PUT A STRAIN ON THEIR WORK-HOME LIFE BALANCE
Like every marriage, Chmerkovskiy and Johnson's union has not been void of challenges. One of the couple's issues is balancing work and home life. During an interview with Us Weekly, Johnson explained that they always talked about work.
It was more difficult to focus on her marriage while competing on season 30 of "Dancing With The Stars." However, Johnson said she and her man worked hard to balance and live normally as couples. Johnson explained:
"We really pushed ourselves to finish work at the door, come home and just be humans, just be a married couple"

After the couple successfully balanced work and home life, the coronavirus pandemic made things more difficult for the duo. COVID-19 protocols on "Dancing With The Stars" made it compulsory that married participants were not allowed to stay together during production.
This meant that Chmerkovskiy and Johnson would be apart from each other. The latter mentioned that it was very difficult for her and made her sad. Johnson loves constant contact with her man, and being deprived of that was tough.
"I just want to be a full-on koala on him, kissing him," she confessed. Somehow, the couple pulled through the trying phase, and their love grew even stronger.

Chmerkovskiy and Johnson have been married for almost three years, but they have no children. However, being parents has always been in their plans. For them, starting a family is more important than everything.
Despite wanting children "very badly," the pair have not confirmed when it will happen. However, they have understood that there is never a right time to have kids. Johnson revealed to Us Weekly:
"There's that saying that there's never the right time, but I think we just want to figure things out and let it happen when it's meant to happen."
