Woman Invites 108-Year-Old Man Thrown Out of His House and Sleeping under a Tree to Live With Her
When a woman spotted an older man walking alongside the road, she stopped to give him a ride—little did they know their lives would change forever.
When a woman from Mexico saw a man wandering the streets last year, she decided to offer him some help. Benita Dearz asked Don Felipe where he was headed and welcomed him into her car.
The pair quickly struck up a conversation, and Dearz discovered the man was 108 years old. He told her that he had 11 children from three marriages. She could not help but wonder why his family members were not with him.

HE WAS ABANDONED
When they arrived at his "house," Dearz understood why the elderly man was alone and without his family. They had abandoned him, and he was living under a tree on the side of the road.
The woman's heart broke for Felipe, and she shared his story online. Dearz asked: "Why do they [his family] abandon him if a father, a grandfather is the most beautiful thing that life can give you?"
SHE INVITED HIM INTO HER HOME
Without hesitation, she gave him some money and encouraged her online friends to help him if they came across him. After speaking with her family, the woman felt urged to assist the man even more.
She invited him to her house for a family dinner, bought him new clothes, and allowed him to wash and sleep in her home. The family eventually "adopted" him into their lives, and he was immensely grateful.
IN HONOR OF HER GRANDPARENTS
In a Facebook post, Dearz gave netizens an update on Felipe. She wrote: "This is how Don Felipe looks, a little bath, a new change, and the best thing is a family dinner."
She thanked the online users for their support and for wishing them well. Dearz asked for donations and shared that she extended kindness toward Felipe in honor of her grandparents, Blas and Angelita, who had passed away.
THE ONLINE REACTION
Commenters praised Dearz for her goodwill and caring nature. One person said: "You deserve the whole world. What a big heart you have."
Another added: "With this gesture, you show me that you have a noble heart!!! People like you are very few or almost none. Respect and best wishes to you today and always."
ANOTHER WOMAN HELPED A HOMELESS MAN
Sadly, many older people live on the streets. A Philadelphia man was hopeless before he met Lolly Galvin, the woman who didn't just walk past him in 2016. She discovered that John Lochlan was a war veteran without a home.
He was in pain due to an infection in his legs, and he needed assistance. Galvin restored Lochlan's faith in humanity, got him the medical attention he needed, and found a place for him to stay because she cared enough to make a difference.
One person was all it took to save Lochlan and Felipe's lives. Thanks to the kindness of Galvin and Dearz, two older men could enjoy their golden years as they deserved.
