Spying on His Mother’s Phone, Boy Finds Message His Cheating Mother Sent Her Lover

A boy was traveling in his car with his mother when he took her phone to change the song. While browsing through the playlist, a message notification popped up. Feeling tempted, he tapped on it and was shocked to read his mother's conversation with an unknown man.

The 18-year-old boy turned to Reddit for advice after discovering who his mother was secretly talking to. He had a plan in his mind but wasn't sure if he should execute it.

The only son of his parents wrote a detailed Reddit post under the username InTheVirtualTrash, describing what he had witnessed recently.

He saw his mother was using her phone more than usual. While they were driving in the car, he asked her for her phone to change the song.

The Redditor also advised OP (Original Poster) to inform the man's wife if his parents are not in an open relationship and the man knows that his mother is married.

OP replied that he was sure his parents were not in an open relationship. He also assured that his father was clueless about his mother's affair.

Meanwhile, Redditor 2715murder said that OP shouldn't tell his mother that he knew about her affair. "I feel like warning the man and your mom that you know just gives them the opportunity to minimize, make up excuses, etc.," the Redditor explained.

The boy replied that he had screenshots of their conversation as evidence, so denying their affair wouldn't work. He said he was "giving his mother a chance to confess" by confronting her first.
