Who Is Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp's Trial Lawyer?
Attorney Camille Vasquez represents Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against Amber Heard, and recently, she grilled the actress on the stand. Here's more about Vasquez.
As soon as Johnny Depp's defamation trial against Amber Heard began, the world tuned in to listen to constant accusations made in court. Depp filed a suit against his ex-wife because of her op-ed for The Washington Post about domestic violence.
Recently, Depp's lawyer, Camille Vasquez, became a name many knew for cross-examining the “Aquaman” star and undermining her credibility before the jury.

Vasquez grilled Heard about why her ex-husband hadn't made eye contact throughout the trial. “You know exactly why Mr. Depp won't look back at you,” the lawyer said before playing a tape where the actor promised, “You will not see my eyes again,” following their divorce.
She asked several questions about claims of Depp physically hurting Heard on separate occasions. Heard made it clear that she was abused, even highlighting that Depp would always wear heavy rings with the hand that would strike at her.
However, Vasquez always followed her questions with facts that negated the actress's statements. She showed several pictures taken days after Heard's alleged accusations took place, and in all these instances, there were no signs of swelling, bruising, or bleeding, among others. No medical records of her injuries were also presented in court since she did not seek professional help afterward.

“There is a risk that he is going to have more time in being likable on the stand when it's actually Amber Heard's time to present her case,” attorney Katherine Lizardo said.
Previously, Heard mentioned a rumor about Depp hurting his ex-girlfriend, Kate Moss, which made the “Sweeney Todd” star's lawyers celebrate. According to sources, mentioning Moss was a positive thing for Depp's camp, and it is likely that his lawyers will use this to win their case.
