Anthony Geary Was Elizabeth Taylor's 'Boy Toy' — 'The Worse Thing' He Said about Her Was That They Were Friends
Anthony Geary loved Elizabeth Taylor very much; however, while she lived, he denied that they ever had any sexual relationship together even though she was convinced they did: This is their story.
Anthony Geary was born in a small mountain community of 800 people in Utah. As a younger person, he was quite gifted, so he decided to go into the performing arts during his university days.
He strived to be the best because acting was his escape, and he eventually became successful at it. In the early 70s, he started appearing in movies as a "psychopath or drug addict."

He played other odd but simple roles until 1978 when he was picked to play the vile but vulnerable Luke Spencer on "General Hospital." The role changed his life in a big way because fans took to the character even after it was revealed that Spencer raped someone.
That only worked to his advantage as one woman went as far as scrambling up on stage one day to present Geary with a foot-high trophy with an inscription that reads: "to Luke —America's most beloved rapist."
Of course, Geary hardly fits the profile of a rapist with his pale features. According to what he said in a past interview with people, he hates violence, including against animals.

Another thing he avoids is chasing a woman, and the talented man has once confessed that he is likely to remain single. Giving a reason why he believes this, the actor said:
"I just don't give people enough time to get involved. I have had one desire—to act—for so long that I can't let people inside."
There may be some truth to that statement, especially since the actor has never been married. Although, there was once a woman he was involved with, even if he did not admit it until after her demise. Her name was Elizabeth Taylor.

"General Hospital" was a classic soap opera that ran for almost six decades on ABC. In those years, it featured many celebrity guest stars, including ESPN's Stephen A. Smith and "Grey's Anatomy" Chandra Wilson.
However, among all the guest stars featured, one that has never been forgotten is Elizabeth Taylor, who played the role of Helena Cassadine, the evil matriarch of the Cassadine family who cursed Luke Spencer and Laura Webber on their wedding day.
That particular episode attracted the highest number of viewers in soap opera history. Fans will be pleased to know that the role was created specifically for Taylor, who had been one of the top fans of the show.

For her, that appearance, which coincided with such an important event, was a dream come true because she loved the show. Around the time she was featured, she told People:
"I'm wild about "General Hospital."
When she was asked to pick up the role, she was a wife to Senator John Warner and had grown bored of sitting on a farm. Taylor told Geary that "General Hospital" helped her shake off the lethargy every afternoon.

She added that "Luke and Laura's love story made Elizabeth feel very nostalgic. She said it reminded her of her youth and the great romance films of the old studio system."
It was made even better because nobody saw her involvement with the series coming, and until now, nobody who tuned has ever forgotten the cosmic cameo.

Taylor's time on the show was very brief. However, those who got to work with her in close quarters felt her presence and impact. Geary was one of those lucky people, and he described working with her as "a dream."
When she joined the cast, Taylor was already a famous face in Hollywood. Some rumors started to float around, claiming that she was trying to pull some "star" moves, including getting her room painted violet to match her eye color or installing the floor-to-ceiling aquariums.

Geary denied all this in one interview and claimed that he had seen more of that behavior from his castmates than Taylor, whom he praised. In his words:
"She was sweet, funny, self-deprecating — a dream to work with."

After her guest appearance on "General Hospital," tabloids claimed that Geary had a fling with Taylor. Although, the actor denied the speculations, tagging them as "totally fabricated" before expanding on why he thinks so. He said:
"I mean, she and I do a scene together. We go to dinner, she invites me home for a drink, we become friends. And all of a sudden I have interrupted a Senator's marriage to an international superstar."
Naturally, people were inclined to believe him, but fans would later discover that Geary had told a bald-faced lie.

After Geary's statement reached Taylor's ears, she was incensed, and in response, she reached out to him via phone to tell him that what he said to People was a terrible thing. He said:
"So Elizabeth calls me and she says: 'Tony? I hear you told People Magazine that we didn't sleep together. That's the worst thing that anyone has ever said about me.'"
The talk was private, and not many knew about it until Geary revealed it. Later in an appearance on Wendy William's show, Geary revealed that he chose to avoid talking about what he had with Taylor because he did not like kissing and telling.

Geary also confirmed that he had had a romantic relationship with her for years. In his words:
"...I don't mind telling that. I was sort of her boy toy for a couple of years."
He also stated in that same interview that he would always be fond of her and keep cherishing her for life. Perhaps, he should have said more because she passed on five years later.

Elizabeth Taylor passed away in 2015, triggering an outpour of emotion from her fans and colleagues. In his tribute, Geary described her as an "amazing human being" before stating that:
"Her world-famous physical beauty paled in comparison to the beauty that radiated from her heart and soul."

Also, "she had great humor, didn't take herself too seriously, and had the most wonderful bawdy laugh."
As he rounded up the heartfelt note, Geary stated that he was lucky to have been Taylor's friend and confessed that he "loved her." Hopefully, she never doubted it.
