Why Is Meghan Markle’s Sister Suing Her?

Samantha Markle filed a lawsuit against her sister, Meghan Markle, claiming that the Duchess's claims significantly and negatively affected her career and wellbeing.

Samantha Markle recently asked the media for privacy following her father's, Thomas Markle, hospitalization from a possible stroke.

Thomas was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance and was photographed with an oxygen mask on his face while paramedics tended to his needs.

"Peace and rest is best," Samantha said about Thomas's condition. Thomas lost his voice before the emergency response team arrived and had to communicate through paper and pen.

WHY IS MEGHAN MARKLE'S SISTER SUING HER?

Samantha has not been on good terms with her sister, Meghan since the former "Suits" star became part of the Royal family. Recently, Samantha sued her sister, claiming that Meghan's alleged lies during the interview with Oprah Winfrey significantly affected Samantha's career.

According to Samantha, the adverse claims negatively affected the sales of her autobiography, "Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister," and affected her chance of finding work. More so, she allegedly suffered from mental and emotional distress.

Samantha claimed that Meghan's statement about paying her way through college was false. In fact, their father provided enough support for the former actress to attend "elite and expensive private schools" growing up and paid for her Northwestern University tuition fee.

The Duchess'S sister asked for damages of over $75,000 and demanded that Meghan reply to her complaint within 21 days. Meghan's lawyer, Michael Kump, has since addressed the complaint in March 2022. Kump said in a statement, as told by In Style:

“This baseless and absurd lawsuit is just a continuation of a pattern of disturbing behavior. We will give it the minimum attention necessary, which is all it deserves.”

WHAT RELATIONSHIP DOES MEGHAN MARKLE HAVE WITH HER SISTER SAMANTHA?

According to Meghan, she and Samantha were never really close growing up. The Duchess said she grew up an only child. "The last time I saw her must have been at least 18, 19 years ago," Meghan said.

Samantha has since revealed her conspiracies about Meghan's life, among other revelations, including the fact that Archie and Lili do not exist.

Meghan believes that her sister just wants to get attention from the public, adding that Samantha only changed her last name back to Markle when Meghan became involved with Prince Harry.

Samantha has since revealed her conspiracies about Meghan's life, among other revelations, including the fact that Archie and Lili do not exist.

Speaking in an interview, Meghan's sister said, "My father has only seen a little square of Archie's face. Nobody has seen those children."

Other people have also agreed, claiming that Meghan "faked her two pregnancies" and Archie and Lili were born through a surrogate mother.
