Andrew Alfred Scott, also known as Drew Scott, is a Canadian reality television personality, popularly known as the co-host of the TV series "Property Brothers." The home renovation program features him as the realtor, alongside his brother Jonathan Scott, who is the contractor.

Drew expressed that he knew Phan was "the one" the first time he laid eyes on her. About their first meeting, the reality TV host said he saw a beautiful woman across the room, holding a giant pizza piece in her hand, with a warm smile on her face.

Drew revealed the iconic moment he knew Phan was meant to be a part of his life while talking to his show's co-host and brother, Jonathan, during a car ride. He further expressed:

"I walked up to her [Phan] with my best pick-up line and said, 'Where do I get a water?'"

The HGTV series anchor knew he was crazy for Phan when he brought her to meet his twin, Jonathan, and their best friend, Pedro. Since high school, the three men had been best buddies and knew each other well. It was there that they discovered that it was Phan who captured Drew's attention with a punch line.

Impressed by Phan's charming personality, Jonathan whispered in his brother's ear and told him she was a keeper. Drew agreed and said that it was at that moment he knew that he and Phan were on the same wavelength and deeply in love. Regarding their first meeting, Phan said:

"My sister and I were backstage looking for pizza and having some water, and Drew came up to me and said 'Hey, where'd you get that water?'"

In response to Phan's words, Drew chimed in, "I was so smooth." A few months later, the couple had their "longest first date ever," according to Phan. Their romantic plans included stops at a sushi restaurant, a hot chocolate spot, and a karaoke party that Drew wasn't supposed to be a part of.

Phan recalled how she decided to sneak out of their date and head to the karaoke party when Drew told her he wanted to come. Even though she hadn't invited him, she politely agreed.

The HGTV star's persistence paid off when he picked up the microphone and stole Phan's heart with a song. The pair sang the rest of the night away and were smitten.

ROMANCE WASN'T HIS THING

Drew was not a romantic person at all, and according to his brother, Jonathan, he wasn't a man of eloquent words either. Even the Canadian TV host described himself as a "constant single guy who was focused on his work and passions" and had no time for a romantic life. He added:

"But out of the blue, I was not expecting it, but Linda caught me off guard and came into my life. And I have to say, Linda taught me what love is. Linda brought out a side of me that I didn't even know was there (sic)."

After meeting Linda, Drew expressed that he was introduced to his buried romantic side, and his whole perspective toward life changed. In addition to his passion for acting, direction, and real estate, he finally had someone to love and cherish for the rest of his life.

POPPING THE BIG QUESTION

The reality TV star popped the big question to his longtime girlfriend and the love of his life, Phan, in December 2016. Drew proposed to Phan at the Toronto restaurant Piano Piano. Regarding the momentous occasion, Drew shared:

"I've never met another woman like her and once you do, you want to be with her forever."

The then-38-year-old star planned the elaborate surprise for weeks and ensured his beautiful fiancée didn't know anything about his epic plan. Drew even admitted that he carried the ring around for weeks to ensure Phan didn't accidentally see it.

The reality TV star flew to New York to record his own version of the Train song "Marry Me" and had it played while he and Phan had dinner. The festivities continued afterward with a surprise engagement party at a nearby venue that Phan believed was a company holiday party.

The couple's friends and family, including Drew's siblings, Jonathan and J.D., were attending. Drew and Phan first met in 2010 at a Toronto Fashion Week event and began dating immediately.

Phan is also the creative director for Scott Brothers Entertainment and oversees multiple projects for the media company.

But that wasn't all. Drew made the moment even more memorable by presenting Phan with a ring he had designed himself. The ring was a 1.2-carat brilliant round-cut solitaire placed in a swirl-like setting, crafted especially for Drew's fiancée. He told PEOPLE:

"Linda doesn't wear rings often and because she’s so petite when she does they are typically a small, simple, classy look. I wanted to design a ring that still had a little style so I incorporated a four-prong swirl solitaire mount for the 14-karat white gold ring."

Before their wedding in Italy, the couple revealed that they married in a secret ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. The pair noted that before saying "I do" in front of 300 guests in May 2018 at an Italian destination wedding, they eternalized their love in a Tennessee hot tub. Drew added:

"Instead of exchanging rings, we exchanged burgers, and we got married in a hot tub. And so, the justice of the peace came to us, and we were in the hot tub."

THE LONGING TO BECOME PARENTS

After tying the knot with his longtime love, Drew said he eagerly looked forward to having kids. His brother, Jonathan, revealed that he couldn't wait to become an uncle and watch Drew and Phan take on the role of parents. Drew noted:

"We're excited to have kids. I think Linda and I will be great parents, and we're excited to start that chapter of our lives."

The "The Property Brothers" star and his wife, a former architectural designer-turned-creative director, worked together and set aside a little space in their new Los Angeles home for their future kids. Phan said she was willing to give up her craft room for the babies' nursery.

But despite their excitement, the Scotts had no idea that their journey to parenthood would be anything but easy. The couple struggled with infertility for two years and said they only found out about it after their wait to have babies seemed to be never-ending.

Drew and Phan sought medical help and discovered that Phan had a thyroid condition. Soon afterward, they started their medical treatment and also talked to other couples facing the same issue. The Scotts said they even considered adoption if nothing else worked out.

After a long and terrifying journey, Drew and Phan received life-changing news in August 2021 that they were expecting their first child. That December, the Canadian star announced the news on his social media, alongside a photo of himself and Phan showing her baby bump.

The soon-to-be-parents also thanked the doctors, family, and friends for their unwavering support and helped make their dream possible. In his Instagram post, Drew wrote:

"It has been an adventure to get here! We know we’re not alone in this experience and that everyone’s is filled with unique challenges along the way."

SHARING THEIR JOURNEY

In an interview with PEOPLE, Drew and Phan opened up about getting pregnant and embracing parenthood. Phan mentioned how one of the most challenging parts of her pregnancy was aligning her schedule with Drew's so that he could share her experience.

The couple revealed how little they knew about IVF before, and once they started their journey, they discovered an entire support community that helped them navigate the tough times. The soon-to-be dad also recalled the best advice people gave him. He said:

"Don't take advice from anyone. You're going to figure it out on your own."

WELCOME TO THE WORLD, LITTLE ONE

The "The Property Brothers" star and his wife finally welcomed their first baby together on May 4, 2022, and shared the delightful news on their podcast, "At Home." Drew, 44, and Phan, 37, named their baby boy Parker James Scott and shared two adorable photos with him on Instagram. The caption read:

"Our lives are forever changed."

Baby Parker arrived on the couple's fourth wedding anniversary, weighing 8 lbs, 1.8 oz. The new dad expressed that tasting fatherhood has been amazing, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Meanwhile, Phan revealed that she was over the moon to welcome her little one and was still in awe and disbelief that she was finally a mother. Per the couple, Parker's arrival was extended because Phan was in labor for 44 hours. Drew also noted:

"Parker decided to come very efficiently on our anniversary. He's stealing the show. It's no longer about you and me on our anniversary."

Talking about how parenthood changed him, Drew shared that he wished he knew earlier how to balance "personal time, baby time, and us time" and not stay fully immersed in his work.

But while holding his baby son and introducing him on his podcast alongside Phan, Drew confessed that he's finally learning how to be a father and prioritize his family. The doting dad added:

"I think there are aspects of having a child that seem to change who you are. I still love what I do and I love helping other families, but there's definitely a big part of me that's gonna be here for Parker."

We send immense love and heartfelt wishes to the Scotts, and we hope they continue to cherish their little one and make special memories together.
