Liam Payne recently revealed how having a son destroyed his relationship in a way that was best for him. The "One Direction" band member became a father at the young age of 23, when his then-girlfriend, Cheryl Cole, gave birth to their son, Bear, in 2017.

Cole hemorrhaged severely after giving birth, which left her unable to attend to her son. Payne had to care for their newborn immediately without help from anyone.

Speaking to Logan Paul in his podcast, the "Strip That Down" singer revealed that he struggled as a first-time father. He added:

"To be honest with you, it ruined a relationship for me at that point but for all the right reasons. I was so excited for him to be born that I was actually worried if I wouldn't love him enough."

Fatherhood has since been better for the singer, who co-parents with Cheryl. According to Payne, he is lucky to have had a child with Cole as she is a great mother to Bear. "He is all she cares about, and I couldn't ask for more," he said.

Payne has since moved on with his love life and dated other women, including his ex-fiancee, Maya Henry. The couple got engaged in August 2020 but separated in September 2021. According to an insider, the couple reconciled a month later but eventually broke up for good.

A month later, Payne was photographed hugging and holding hands with another woman, identified as Mawla. It appears that Payne and the model met after she appeared in his music video in 2018.

In a statement released by Mawla's representative, it read: "She is protective of her personal life and has nothing more to say at the moment other than she is very happy and does not wish to discuss this situation moving forward."

It seems that Payne's love interest is not the only thing that has changed in the past years. Many have noticed that the artist also had hair transformations.

In 2010, Payne debuted a long, lush haircut similar to his band member, Harry Styles. His long hair happened at the onset of the group's fame. Payne went from straight to curly hair the following year, adding volume to his look.

Fans were surprised to see the Directioner with shaved hair in 2012 and kept it short in the months that followed.

It wasn't until 2021 that he began experimenting with hair color. Although he kept his hair short, Payne bleached his hair blonde shortly after his split from Henry.
