Todd Chrisley's Daughter Says Parents' Verdict Is Not What She 'Prayed For' as They Face 30 Years in Jail
After being found guilty of all fraud charges levied against them, Todd and Julie Chrisley will go to jail. Since the Jury's verdict, many have commented on the sad turnout of events, including Todd's estranged daughter, Lindsie. What did she say? Find out.
For almost a decade, Real Estate Mogul and Reality TV Star Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, have been in the spotlight as a married couple on USA Network's "Chrisley Knows Best." However, before the lovebirds' romantic story began, another woman was in Todd's life.
The real estate tycoon married Teresa Terry, whom he first met as a 17-year-old high school student in Westminster, South Carolina.

At the time, Todd was only 19, and even though they were young, their love quickly blossomed. Then, two years later, Terry became pregnant, and Todd did what he believed was right — he popped the question.
Not long after the proposal, the pair welcomed their first child, Lindsie Chrisley. In 1990, Todd and Terry tied the knot, and the following year, they welcomed their second child and son, Kyle Chrisley.
Sadly, Terry would experience what she called a "turbulent marriage in the next few years." She accused Todd of physically and mentally abusing her in the union.

According to Terry, there were occasions when the Chrisley patriarch destroyed her personal properties and battered her and his mother.
Terry went as far as claiming that Todd threatened to kill her while holding a knife. All of this alleged abuse continued happening until Terry moved out in 1994. Two years later, their divorce was finalized.
After their divorce, the ex-couple was awarded joint physical custody of their children and moved on with their separate lives.

Eventually, Todd would meet the woman who would become his second wife. After meeting in the mid-1990s, the "Chrisley Knows Best" stars walked down the aisle in 1996.
Since Todd and Julie exchanged wedding vows, they have stayed by each other's side, surmounting different challenges.
For example, when Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo a double mastectomy in 2012, her husband stood by her.

Over the years, Todd has proven his love for his wife by serenading her with kind words on social media.
Apart from being a lovely couple, the duo is also doting parents to three children, Savannah Chrisley, Chase Chrisley, and Grayson Chrisley.
Here are more details about Todd and Julie's personal lives, including the former's estranged relationship with his daughter, Lindsie.

In 2017, Lindsie left "Chrisley Knows Best," and since then, she has remained estranged from her father and family.
In August 2019, her father and stepmom were charged with tax evasion, and Lindsie was accused of being responsible for kick-starting the investigation.
According to Todd and the family's claims, Lindsie had an affair with a tax investigator, eventually exposing her family.

However, Lindsie denied involvement in the charges brought up against her father and stepmother via a statement from her lawyer. Instead, she claimed that her father tried to extort her over alleged nude photos and sex tapes.
It is important to note that at the time, Lindsie was still married to her ex-husband, Will Campbell, and Todd allegedly accused his daughter of having an affair outside her marriage. Sadly, in 2021, two years later, Lindsie's nine-year marriage with Campbell ended.
She shared the news of her split in July 2021, and the following day, Todd took to social media to comment on his daughter's destroyed marriage.

In an Instagram post, the father of five revealed that he was not happy about Lindsie's split, adding that he was praying for her.
According to Todd, he loved his daughter irrespective of whatever happened between them; he could not love Lindsie less.
He vowed to protect his daughter from anyone and anything that tried to tarnish her reputation, and in his final words, Todd promised never to leave or forsake his daughter.

Unfortunately, Lindsie was very shocked and unhappy about her father's post. According to the TV personality, Todd had blocked her on Instagram, and sharing something so personal on social media was out of place, especially as he had Lindsie's number.
Lindsie also revealed that her lawyers had reached out to Todd's attorneys, who would constantly communicate in the following weeks.

The following month, Lindsie sat down with ET's Denny Director and revealed that she had no intentions of reconciling with her family. In her words:
"There will never be a reconciliation. I think that the most that anyone could ask for at this point is for everyone to go on with their lives as they see fit and to just leave the other side alone. But at this point, there will be no chance of reconciliation."

On June 8, 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, tax fraud, and defraud the United States of America.
During the three-week trial, prosecutors claimed that the couple tried to get $30 million in bank loans to support their lavish lifestyle but used falsified documents.
In addition, Todd and Julie were alleged to have filed for bankruptcy to escape paying more than the $20 million they owed in debt.
Sadly, the couple is facing up to 30 years in prison, and their lawyers revealed Todd and Julie are unhappy about it.
"Both Chrisleys are devastated and disappointed with the verdict and will be pursuing an appeal," said Chrisley's lawyer, Steve Friedberg.
Meanwhile, despite Lindsie and her father's estranged relationship, the former has expressed her thoughts on the Jury's decision.
In an Instagram post, Lindsie made it known that the verdict was not what she had prayed and hoped for.
In addition, she said she was deeply saddened for herself, her son, and the entire Chrisley family. Since the couple's conviction, netizens have trooped to Twitter to air their views. A Twitter user said:
"Damn Julie & Todd Chrisley faces up to 30 yrs in prison, my heart goes out to Chloe & Grayson; now Savannah & Chase have to take care of them 💔 Their former business partner spilled EVERYTHING, the whole time during their show they was faking to be rich for the media."
A second user's heart went to the couple's 16-year-old son, Grayson. According to the tweep, Grayson should be having fun like every other teenager, but his world crashed.
A third user noted that her major concern was the well-being of Todd and Julie's adopted granddaughter, Chloe. Another respondent tweeted:
"I feel so sorry for the youngest #chrisley. He's a teenager with two parents going to federal prison. He's going to have to live with his sisters, and what are his teenage years going to be like?"
"Chloe Chrisley is nine years old. That's 3rd grade. My God, my ❤ goes out to this little girl," said another.
Indeed, it is a difficult time for the Chrisley family, and while the couple is yet to be sentenced, fans can only hope that things turn out well for them in the end.
