Born in Pasadena, California, Kathleen Quinlan is best known as an American Film and Television actress. Her journey to stardom in the movie industry began in the early 1970s when she was still a scuba-loving gymnast at Mill Valley High school in Northern California.

Film director George Lucas had visited Quinlan's high school to cast for his movie, "American Graffiti," and the actress's talent did not go unnoticed. She bagged a role in the 1973 film, which marked the beginning of her stellar career in showbiz.

Quinlan would later feature in other productions, including "Lifeguard," and eventually got her big break in 1977 when she starred as Deborah in "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden." The role earned Quinlan a Golden Globe Award nomination.

The following years would see the actress climb up the ladder of fame, bagging many roles and accolades. One of such accolades was her Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Marilyn Lovell in the 1995 movie "Apollo 13."

While Quinlan slowly made her way to the top, she ensured her love life did not suffer. The actress was romantically involved with different men, including her colleagues, one of which was Al Pacino.

Quinlan and the actor started dating in 1979, but their relationship was short-lived, as it lasted for only two years. The actress eventually tied the knot with another actor and stayed married to him.

WHO IS KATHLEEN QUINLAN MARRIED TO?

Quinlan is happily married to Bruce Abbott. An American stage, film, and television actor, the star has been in the movie industry since the 1980s. He has appeared in productions such as "Re-Animator," "Summer Heat," and "Dark Justice."

It is safe to say that Abbott's career has brought many good things and people his way, including Quinlan. The pair first met in Dallas when Abbott was working as an actor.

At first, Quinlan was skeptical about dating an actor, but eventually, she gave in to her feelings and started a romance with Abbott.

The pair walked down the aisle in 1994 and have remained in love and happily married ever since. During a 2020 interview with Closer Weekly, Quinlan shared the secret to her long-lasting union. In her words:

"Some actors are very self-centered, and Bruce is not that way at all. He's very generous, supportive, and has a great sense of humor."

DOES KATHLEEN QUINLAN HAVE KIDS?

Quinlan is a doting mother to one child, Tyler, whom she welcomed in 1990. The actress considers motherhood one of the most rewarding jobs. But initially, it was pretty difficult as she had to balance parenting and work.

Quinlan once revealed that when Tyler was a child, she always took him on set. According to the actress, trying to memorize her lines and keep an eye on Tyler was tough, but it all paid off in the end.

Today, Tyler is an actor like his parents and has appeared in films such as "Westworld," "Saving My Baby," and "The Rookie."
