Emma Hiddleston is one of Tom Hiddleston's two talented sisters. She is an extraordinary actress in her own right -- a gem hiding in pure sight.

Loki's better half, Tom, hasn't been scared to voice his views on feminism, supporting many women's rights causes.

The actor spent his childhood around strong women -- his mother and sisters were all independent and determined individuals. Growing up in these surroundings helped him, he said, to understand women.

Tom said that he grew up around friends who did not understand women because they were primarily and only around other men. Speaking about his matriarchal upbringing, he stated that it forced him to open his eyes to women's injustices. Tom said:

"I believe in the strength and intelligence and sensitivity of women. My mother, my sisters [they] are strong."

His childhood is a big reason why Tom supported the #ElleFeminism and Emma Watson's #HeForShe campaigns. It also likely contributed to his Natalie Portman fanboy status.

WHO IS EMMA HIDDLESTON?

Out of his female influences, one of Tom's sisters is also an actress: Emma Hiddleston. The newly engaged actor admitted that he feels protective over her, saying:

"I worry that sometimes the business doesn't see her intelligence and wisdom."

He stated that the entertainment business is shallow but then conceded that his sister is sensible and that she will most likely be okay.

When asked if he ever felt she was inching too close to his territory by choosing the same field as him, he replied with an affirmative "No," expressing:

"I said she should go for it. I think everyone should pursue their dreams."

The actor stated that whether a person wants to become a writer, singer, football, or actor -- no matter what it is, if there is a passion inside someone to pursue something, they should do it.

Emma certainly did follow her dreams, mainly known for the parts she played in 2012's "Endeavour," as well as 2015's "Wolf Hall" and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."

This actress went to the University of Cambridge, where Emma starred in many productions while studying Anthropology.

Emma and Tom were enchanted with the world of acting when they were children. They used to put on plays with their cousins and act them out for their parents. Their older sister, Sarah Hiddleston, used to write the plays for them.

WHO IS SARAH HIDDLESTON?

Sarah has gone from playwright to acclaimed journalist. She resides with her husband in India, which is his home country. Speaking about this in 2012, Tom said:

"I have family in India. My sister stays in Chennai and I’ve been to India about four times so far."

The actor said that when he visits, he learns about new movies, stating that the last one he watched was "My Name Is Khan" by Shah Rukh Khan.

However, Tom doesn't just want to sit on the sidelines of Bollywood, revealing that he would love to be in a film from India. He said: "I'd want nothing more but to star in a Bollywood movie."
