Ana de Armas's career in Hollywood never ceases to impress. She achieved worldwide fame as a holographic AI projection in "Blade Runner 2049" and made headlines again after being cast as Marilyn Monroe in Netflix's "Blonde."

The biographical drama film will show different aspects of Monroe's life, including her childhood and the differences between her public and private persona. However, writer and director Andrew Dominik added some fiction to the story.

WHO DOES ANA DE ARMAS PLAY IN "NO TIME TO DIE?"

Armas is a versatile actress, and the fact that she plays Marilyn Monroe only one year after portraying Paloma in the James Bond movie "No Time to Die" proves it.

Cuban CIA agent Paloma is one of the three main female characters in the film starring Daniel Craig. The other two are Lashana Lynch, who portrays agent Nomi, and Léa Seydoux, who plays Madeleine Swann.

Armas's character gives the film a much-needed comic relief, especially after she keeps saying she only has three weeks of training but fights like an expert.

Some people have described Paloma as a "Bond girl" – James Bond's love interest or female companion in the stories. While Paloma might look like a Bond girl, she is not one.

Paloma and Bond are teammates as they get together to complete a mission in Havana, and she has multiple action scenes.

Bond and Paloma talk suggestively while getting rid of their enemies, but they are not romantically involved. The real Bond girl in "No Time to Die" would be Seydoux's character, Madeleine Swann.

ANA DE ARMAS ON BOND GIRLS

According to Armas, "No Time to Die" updates the term 'Bond girls' to 'Bond women' as all three female characters are highly skilled and show their proficiency in their own ways. Rather than being damsels in distress, they are equal to Bond.

Armas and [Ben] Affleck appeared kissing in a music video for Residente.

Lynch's character is essential in the concept's new take as Nomi takes over the 007 title after Bond retires. To Lynch, the film represents change, mainly because it shows female characters being strong.

WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN ANA DE ARMAS AND BEN AFFLECK?

After wrapping up "No Time to Die," Armas worked in "Deep Water" alongside Ben Affleck. The psychological thriller follows a married couple (Armas and Affleck's characters) who fell out of love but still live together.

Armas and Affleck's relationship turned romantic at some point, and they went to Cuba together in March 2020. The former couple kept the details of their relationship under wraps, but they even celebrated her 32nd birthday together.

In May 2020, Armas and Affleck appeared kissing in a music video for Residente. By January 2021, they were no longer together.

Sources claimed Armas ended their relationship because she didn't want to be in Los Angeles, where Affleck lives to be closer to his kids. However, neither Armas nor Affleck has publicly discussed their romance and breakup, and he got engaged to Jennifer Lopez.
