On June 19, 2022, Kate Hudson took to her Instagram to wish actor Kurt Russell a Happy Father's Day. In her post, she shared a throwback photo where she was cuddled up with the actor and took to her caption to praise his qualities.

The Oscar-nominated actress said Kurt Russell, her stepfather, is a fun, adventurous, passionate, determined, honest, devoted, and fantastic father. She also stated that he had the best head of hair in Los Angeles, and they were lucky to have him.

Hudson is the daughter of Goldie Hawn and her ex-husband Bill Hudson. However, Hawn and Russell, who have been in a relationship since 1983, raised her. The actress revealed that her stepfather played a massive role in sharing what it was to have a dependable father figure in her life.

In the comment section, Hawn said she showed the message to Russell, and he called the picture the "perfect Father's Day present." He also revealed that it made him teary-eyed and thanked Hudson for making him the luckiest father in the world.
