Young Man Offers Himself as Human Chair to Weak Old Lady after They Get Stuck in an Elevator
A young man out on work assignment proved he was quick-thinking after displaying a selfless act toward a senior citizen. The pair had been in a dire situation, but he went out of his way to make things easier.
Cesar Larios was having a regular day at work, out with his work team, when things took an unexpected turn. The elevator they were holed up in got stuck, and along with them was an elderly woman.
While trying to keep calm and wait for help to arrive, the older adult made it known that she had problems standing for too long. It was at this point that Larios displayed an exceptional example of chivalry.

LARIOS BECAME A HUMAN CHAIR
Larios and his work buddies were carrying out a move in the 10-story facility back in 2014 and ended up being stuck in the elevator. However, what gave him more concern was Rita Young, the old woman who also mentioned that she was claustrophobic.
The young man, who was a student at the Art Institute of Florida, noticed that Young was in discomfort although she had her walking aide. He immediately launched into action, propping himself on all fours.
Larios offered his back as a seating platform while urging the senior citizen to sit. Larios played a makeshift human chair for half an hour before help came along. The old lady was getting uneasy, but he helped ease her discomfort.

LARIOS GOES VIRAL
The firefighters came in due time and pried open the elevator for the occupants to get out. However, the story was far from over. During their elevator ordeal, one of Larios’ workmates took photos of the 79-year-old woman sitting on his back.
After the snapshot was shared on social media, the youngster’s selfless act gained traction. In a matter of days, he went viral alongside the moving company called College HUNKS Moving and Hauling services. Speaking about the situation, Larios shared:
“We were riding with a very nice elderly woman. As soon as it got stuck the lady said she could not stand for extended periods. So I offered to serve as a chair. She was so thankful.”

The College HUNKS moving company displayed how proud they were of Larios, who was a Move Captain on the team. On Facebook, the franchise shared a post gushing over his kindness and emphasizing that “Chivalry lives.”

Friedman expressed his surprise at how fast the news circulated and the positive response it received from netizens. He added that it was great that such a genuine act was caught on camera.
Many took to their social media pages, sending out good wishes to the young man. One person described him as a real man who expressed kindness and thoughtfulness.
Another person made it known to Larios that humanity was proud of him, while a third netizen thought his parents raised him right. Larios performed the act of kindness without giving it a second thought, but the world recognized him beyond his expectations.
