Domino was born on December 17, 1983, in Westminster, London. She grew up around art as her father, Simon Kirke, played the drums for the London-based rock band Free and has been the drummer of Bad Company on and off since the early 1970s.

Simon was crucial in Domino's upbringing as he helped her and her sisters, Lola and Jemima Kirke, train in everything related to music. Domino even studied piano and classical voice at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.

Lola and Jemima chose different artistic paths and became actresses. Lola is the youngest, born on September 27, 1990. She made her acting debut in 2011's "Another Happy Day" and had a long and successful run as Hailey Rutledge in "Mozart in the Jungle."

"There's such a need. I just realized that my labor was so long and crazy that I was really good at supporting a woman in labor—it just felt so close to home."
