Kelly Ripa Did Not Think Ryan Seacrest's New Girlfriend Existed after He Dumped Shayna Taylor 3 Times

Ryan Seacrest has a stellar career in television; however, his love life has not been quite as successful. His eight-year on-and-off relationship with Shayna Taylor often put him in the public eye. However, today, the star appears to have found peace with his new girlfriend, Aubrey Petcosky.

Ryan Seacrest has been private about his personal life throughout his time in the spotlight. However, in one way or another, the media personality's romantic involvements have drawn much attention to him.

One of his most talked-about romances was with food and wellness blogger and model Shayna Taylor. The pair first met in 2021 at a restaurant in Los Angeles. According to Taylor, she was hanging out with a group of friends when Seacrest walked in with some friends.

The media personality was immediately smitten, and he expressed his interest to one of his friends who, coincidentally, knew someone in Taylor's group.

So, Seacrest's friend began texting with the person he knew in Taylor's group, trying to find out if the model was with any of the guys present or if she was alone.

Eventually, they found out they were both single and met up. Taylor confessed that, unlike Seacrest, she was not super star-struck when she met the TV star. However, she would later fall in love with him, and they would start dating, despite Seacrest being 17 years older.

SEACREST AND TAYLOR'S ON-AND-OFF ROMANCE

Unfortunately, the ex-lover romance would not go as smoothly as they had anticipated. Throughout their time together, Seacrest and Taylor had an on-and-off relationship. The pair's first split happened in late 2014, one year after they first stepped out together on vacation.

Seacrest went public with their relationship status when he revealed that he was single during a chat with Us Weekly on Z100's Jingle Ball on December 12, 2014. The lovebirds stayed apart for a while before reconnecting in 2016. Following their reunion, Seacrest and Taylor moved in together.

Everything seemed great between the duo and netizens attested to their love for each other. Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time before Seacrest and Taylor's relationship would crumble again.

In 2019, about three years after they rekindled their romance, the media personality and food blogger called it quits for the second time. This time around, Seacrest and Taylor would spend only a few months apart before reconciling again, making it their third attempt at being a couple.

During a May 2020 episode of "Live With Kelly and Ryan," Seacrest celebrated his and Taylor's third attempt at trying to make their relationship work. In his words:

"I just want to say happy third anniversary to Shayna. It's our third time together. So, we've gotten together, broken up, gotten together, broken up. This is number three of being together. So we're celebrating as well."

Sadly, the third time was not the charm for the duo. In 2020, Seacrest and Taylor ended their romance after being in their on-and-off relationship for eight years. In a statement, the television show host's representative told Us Weekly:

"Ryan and Shayna decided to end their romantic relationship amicably some time ago. They remain good friends, each other's biggest supporters, and will always cherish their time together as a couple."

HAS SEACREST BEEN ENGAGED BEFORE?

Seacrest is 47 years old and besides his successful career, what many of his fans look forward to is the day he will walk down the aisle. The big day might come sooner than expected, as the TV icon has been candid about his desire to tie the knot someday.

However, before marriage, there has to be an engagement, and for Seacrest, it has never happened before, even though he has been involved with big names like Julianne Hough, Sara Underwood, and Shana Wall.

Seacrest made this known during a 2017 episode of "Live With Kelly and Ryan," when his co-host Kelly Ripa asked him if he had ever been engaged. He said:

"I've never been engaged, I do believe I would."

Seacrest further relayed that he had gotten close to being engaged once but didn't do it, and to him, it was the right move. Nevertheless, seeing his parents' marriage of 47 years made him believe in and love the idea of love.

"So I have this thing… I figure out the longer I wait, the older I'll be, the closer to death I am, so I can get it and not screw it up," the American Idol host concluded.

INSIDE SEACREST'S CURRENT RELATIONSHIP

It has been two years since Seacrest's romance with Taylor ended, and the former seems to be happy with his 23-year-younger girlfriend and Model Aubrey Paige Petcosky.

The pair's relationship was confirmed in June 2021, after they were spotted spending time together in the Hamptons. One year later, the lovebirds still appear to be head over heels in love with each other.

Seacrest and Petcosky's age difference means nothing to the duo as a source confirmed that "they are very happy and doing great." Although the pair are romantically linked to each other, not much is known about their relationship due to Seacrest and his girlfriend's desire to keep their romance private.

They have been so discreet about their love that after Kelly Ripa first saw the model at her husband's birthday party for the first time, she revealed that everyone did not believe that Petcosky existed.

"We were starting to be like, 'Maybe he doesn't have a special person, and maybe we should check in on him more often?'" Ripa quipped.

Ripa also mentioned that she likes the model and she will be devastated and go into seclusion if Petcosky and Seacrest end their relationship.

Hopefully, the duo will stick together and continue to appear side by side in public as they have done in the past year. They made their first red carpet appearance on June 8, 2022, at the premiere of Jennifer Lopez's new documentary, "Halftime." Will Petcosky be Seacrest's final bus stop? Only time will tell.
