Kaynette Williams is the first woman Blake Shelton ever married, but it only lasted about three years before they went their separate ways. Here are some details that stand out about her.

Blake Shelton and Kaynette Williams first got acquainted as teenagers in Ada, Oklahoma, and before they took things further, the pair were good friends. They got married in November 2003 in an intimate ceremony that was held in Tennessee.

They were a good pair, and she was one of his most ardent supporters in the early days of his career; in fact, she served as his road manager. Unfortunately, his marriage to Williams was dissolved in 2006. What do we know about her, and where is she now?

Kaynette Williams was born Kaynette Gern on February 20 to parents Kay Kast-Gern and Fred Edgard Gern Sr. in Jesse, Oklahoma, which means her star sign is Pisces. She currently resides in Kansas and is an active member of her community.

Her Facebook page, which is inundated with posts of her involvement in many community-driven projects, is clear proof of that. Besides helping out within her community, Williams's hobbies include many outdoor activities such as fishing and horse riding.

She also enjoys playing with dogs and is a family-oriented person who enjoys spending time with relatives and friends. Her father is no more, but she keeps his memory alive by honoring him on the anniversary of his demise, showing how close she was to him while he lived.

Williams and Shelton met when they were 15, and six years later, they started dating, and when they got older, he proposed to her.

Speaking about the day, he revealed that it happened one morning in December after he returned from hunting, and after she said yes, they went out hunting again before returning to spend the entire day partying with friends.

The wedding ceremony went down in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, while Shelton was on break from touring with his co-star Toby Keith. Those who attended the event were restricted to the couple, the man who officiated the ceremony, and a photographer.

After the wedding, Shelton admitted that Williams was "the one" and confessed that what they had felt was right, which is why he loved her.

As time passed, she became his road manager, helping him get his budding career off the ground because she believed in him.

Kaynette's union with Shelton started on a great note, as most marriages do. However, it did not last very long because, along the line, Shelton fell in love with Miranda Lambert, whom he initially ran into when they met at the CMT's 100 Greatest Duets concert in 2005, where they took the stage to sing "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma."

Lambert was well aware of Shelton's marital status at the time; she had seen his wedding photos, and as if that was not enough, she also happened to be engaged to Jeff Allen McManus.

When Shelton spoke about their first meeting, he confessed that she made him feel things no one else had on the stage. He said:

"I was a married guy, you know? Standing up there and singing with somebody and going, 'Man, this shouldn't be happening.' Looking back on that, I was falling in love with her, right there on stage."

Eventually, he and Williams parted ways in 2006, and Lambert also broke things off with her fiance. Williams accused him of marital misconduct in the divorce proceedings, and fans did not need anyone to tell them who he cheated with.

He would later admit that while he was married to Williams, he had feelings for Lambert, but despite all that, he also confessed that ending things with his first wife had been a difficult choice to make. He also said that he had not been ready to become a husband the first time he did, which may be why it ended so quickly.

After their split, Williams moved back to Oklahoma from Nashville to have a fresh start; nonetheless, after some years, she moved once more to avoid her former husband, who was also living in Oklahoma with his new wife.

Later on, Williams revealed that she didn't feel like the state was big enough to contain all three of them, so she had to move to Kansas.

After moving to Kansas, Williams met Rodeo champion Cody Scheck thanks to a mutual friend, and after falling in love, she married him. They remain together but have no children yet.

After their marriage, she settled into life in their community and became a 4th-grade teacher at South Barber Elementary School in Kiowa, Kansas. In 2018, she was elected as the Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 academic year by her colleagues. A clear proof of her dedication as an educator.

Shelton married Lambert in 2011; nevertheless, their union was plagued with many issues stemming from their celebrity status. They could not spend enough time together as a couple, with Shelton in L.A. and Lambert on the road most of the time.

Then, it started to tell on their union, and not long after, rumors of infidelity began to swirl around him. They handled the rumors pretty well, but they never stopped coming, and later on, some started to swirl around Lambert too.

In 2013, Lambert stated that divorce was not on the table for them, but she spoke too soon because it became a reality two years later.

He moved on with Gwen Stefani, whom he met on "The Voice" when she was signed on as a coach; however, their relationship did not start until two years after their first meeting.

They dated for five years, during which he became a great father to her three kids then he proposed to her in the middle of the pandemic. They got married in 2021, and on July 3, 2022, the lovely couple celebrated their first anniversary. The pair look great together, and fans hope Shelton's third time will be the charm.
