WHY DID KAYNETTE WILLIAMS AND BLAKE SHELTON DIVORCE?

Kaynette's union with Shelton started on a great note, as most marriages do. However, it did not last very long because, along the line, Shelton fell in love with Miranda Lambert, whom he initially ran into when they met at the CMT's 100 Greatest Duets concert in 2005, where they took the stage to sing "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma."

Lambert was well aware of Shelton's marital status at the time; she had seen his wedding photos, and as if that was not enough, she also happened to be engaged to Jeff Allen McManus.

When Shelton spoke about their first meeting, he confessed that she made him feel things no one else had on the stage. He said:

"I was a married guy, you know? Standing up there and singing with somebody and going, 'Man, this shouldn't be happening.' Looking back on that, I was falling in love with her, right there on stage."

Eventually, he and Williams parted ways in 2006, and Lambert also broke things off with her fiance. Williams accused him of marital misconduct in the divorce proceedings, and fans did not need anyone to tell them who he cheated with.

He would later admit that while he was married to Williams, he had feelings for Lambert, but despite all that, he also confessed that ending things with his first wife had been a difficult choice to make. He also said that he had not been ready to become a husband the first time he did, which may be why it ended so quickly.

Later on, Williams revealed that she didn't feel like the state was big enough to contain all three of them, so she had to move to Kansas.

After moving to Kansas, Williams met Rodeo champion Cody Scheck thanks to a mutual friend, and after falling in love, she married him. They remain together but have no children yet.
