Sydney Sweeney's parents have been her biggest supporters since the start of her acting career, but it took some convincing. She recently shared a sweet moment with her mom following her Emmy nominations. Who are the parents of this talented actress who has become a huge star?

"Euphoria" star Sydney Sweeney has highly learned parents who, despite their educational backgrounds, were willing to allow their daughter to follow her dream of becoming an actress. Sydney's parents must be glad they supported their daughter, who has become one of the most well-known stars in Hollywood.

They must be even prouder of their talented child after Sydney got 2 Emmy nominations; the actress first shared the great news with her mother. In a touching video post that Sydney shared on her Instagram account, the actress talks to her mom on the phone while riding in a car.

Sydney experienced mixed emotions while chatting to her mother; she laughed and cried. We could tell her mom was just as excited about the fantastic news. The actress's caption was a touching tribute to her mother. It said:

"What a morning! Thank you so much to the @televisionacad for my Emmy nominations! It's an honor to know that both Olivia and Cassie have connected with so many. I'm so proud of both these shows and grateful to everybody that's been a part of them. But most importantly, Mom, I love you; we did it through the ups and downs! Thank you, thank you!!"

The actress revealed during an interview on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" that her family is from Spokane, Washington. She also mentioned how her parents love when he talks about Gonzaga.

Sydney's parents are well-read; her mom is a lawyer, and her dad is in the medical field. Her parents allowed her to explore other avenues despite being academically inclined. Speaking to Coveteur in 2019, Sydney said:

"I had a crazy imagination growing up. My parents always wanted me outside, so I had all these imaginary worlds."

This freedom to imagine and explore gave birth to a desire to be a performer. Sydney had her first taste of being part of a movie when an indie film held auditions in her hometown, and she landed her first acting role. One of the shows she has featured in is "The Handmaid's Tale," which is her mom and her mom's friends' favorite series.

Initially, Sydney Sweeney's parents did not want their daughter to go into acting. According to Sydney, she made a Powerpoint presentation to show them how serious she was.

Speaking about the experience, the "Everything Sucks!" actress revealed, "I put together a five-year business plan presentation about what could happen if they let me!" The presentation was so good that her parents gave in.

Sydney almost starred in another show instead of "Euphoria" because she was worried about her role in the series, which included nude scenes, among other things. It was only after she read the script that she realized how great the show was.

The Washington native revealed that her family faced some financial difficulties. They moved from Spokane to Los Angeles after her parents agreed to her acting, which increased their cost of living. The family even had to file for bankruptcy once, and all these experiences helped Sydney understand the importance of savings.

It's incredible how Sydney Sweeney's parents supported her choice despite all the difficulties the family faced. In fact, her mother accompanied her to her first professional audition and also helps Sydney to run her lines for scripts.
