"What a morning! Thank you so much to the @televisionacad for my Emmy nominations! It's an honor to know that both Olivia and Cassie have connected with so many. I'm so proud of both these shows and grateful to everybody that's been a part of them. But most importantly, Mom, I love you; we did it through the ups and downs! Thank you, thank you!!"

Sydney's parents are well-read; her mom is a lawyer, and her dad is in the medical field. Her parents allowed her to explore other avenues despite being academically inclined. Speaking to Coveteur in 2019, Sydney said:

"I had a crazy imagination growing up. My parents always wanted me outside, so I had all these imaginary worlds."

This freedom to imagine and explore gave birth to a desire to be a performer. Sydney had her first taste of being part of a movie when an indie film held auditions in her hometown, and she landed her first acting role. One of the shows she has featured in is "The Handmaid's Tale," which is her mom and her mom's friends' favorite series.

SYDNEY HAD TO CONVINCE HER PARENTS TO LET HER ACT

Initially, Sydney Sweeney's parents did not want their daughter to go into acting. According to Sydney, she made a Powerpoint presentation to show them how serious she was.

Speaking about the experience, the "Everything Sucks!" actress revealed, "I put together a five-year business plan presentation about what could happen if they let me!" The presentation was so good that her parents gave in.

Sydney almost starred in another show instead of "Euphoria" because she was worried about her role in the series, which included nude scenes, among other things. It was only after she read the script that she realized how great the show was.
