Andre Romelle Young, better known as Dr. Dre, is a legendary rapper whose son, Truice Young, is quickly rising to prominence as well. Nicole Young, Truice's mother, is a well-known TV personality.

Nicole and Dr. Dre recently went their separate ways after 24 years of marriage. The former couple's divorce was messy and made the headlines more than once.

Throughout his parent's complicated divorce, Truice kept a low profile. He has a close relationship with his famous father even though Dre and his mother are no longer on good terms.

Last year, Dre shared a photo of him and Truice on Instagram, showing off their matching tattoos on their forearms. The striking art appeared to be in the shape of DNA. Dre captioned his post:

"Just got matching tattoos with my son @truiceyoung. It's in the DNA. California Love!!"

The fact that Dre and Truice got matching tattoos means there may be a hidden meaning behind the double helix designs. Despite the unfortunate events that happened to him in his divorce, the acclaimed rapper still makes time for his son.

Aside from their legal disputes, Dre and Nicole have traded allegations and insults.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT TRUICE YOUNG

Dr. Dre, who is the CEO of Aftermath Entertainment, and Nicole welcomed their first son, Truice, in 1997. Truice, who grew up in Los Angeles, California, is one of Dre's nine children.

Truice appears to be an enigmatic individual with little information known about him. He graduated with excellent grades from the University of South Carolina (USC) in 2020.

Although his father is long accustomed to being in the spotlight, Truice does not seem interested in the attention that comes with fame and keeps to himself.

Despite Truice's avoidance of the spotlight, the public discovered that he, like his father, dabbles in music. Truice works as a music producer and has collaborated with several artists. He appears to have an exciting job.

He has shared photos of himself at the recording studio as well as with his family. He also poses with several well-known musicians, such as Sir Paul McCartney, a former member of The Beatles.

Truice has a total of eight biological siblings, and most of his brothers and sisters are grown up and living their own lives. His siblings are Dre's children from previous relationships.

Curtis, Dre's firstborn child, was born on December 15, 1981. Dre had him when he was 16 with his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Joy Greene, who was 15 then. Curtis is also a rapper, and his stage name is Hood Surgeon.

LaTanya is Dre's oldest daughter, born in 1983. LaTanya, whose mother is Lisa Johnson, lives a private life. However, she made headlines in December 2020 when she claimed to have not seen her father in over a decade.

Tyra is Dre's second daughter. She was born in May 1984 to an unidentified woman during the music mogul's relationship with LaTanya's mom.

LaToya is Dre's third daughter and fourth child. Ashley is his fourth daughter and fifth kid. There isn't much known about them other than the fact that the sisters were reportedly the hip-hop star's "secret daughters" with Lisa. Ashley and LaToya seem estranged from their dad.

Dre and Jenita Porter had a son named Andre Jr. in 1988. Unfortunately, Andre, his second son and sixth kid, reportedly died from a morphine and heroin overdose in 2008.

Andre was only 20 when he passed away. It was reported at the time that Dre, a six-time Grammy winner, was devastated when he found out about his son's untimely demise.

Dre's seventh child is Marcel, whom he shares with R&B singer Michel'le. Like most of his siblings, Marcel prefers to stay out of the limelight.

Truly is Dr. Dre's youngest daughter and Truice's sister. She was born in 2001 and is a student at USC since 2021. She often joins her father and mother, Nicole, at various events. She likes to share photos of herself online and is always dressed fashionably.

Nicole is Truice's mother, who met Dre in the 1990s. She worked as an attorney, although little is known about where she practiced her profession.

Nicole had been married once before, in 1992, to former NBA athlete Sedale Threatt. However, she and the basketball star divorced after four years of marriage. After briefly dating Dre, Nicole eventually tied the knot with the rapper in 1996.

Many people admired Dre and Nicole's marriage because of how long they were together. They must have had their share of problems because they announced their separation in June 2020 after more than two decades of marriage.

The couple cited irreconcilable differences as the basis for their split. Nicole and Dr. Dre were embroiled in a slew of legal disputes worth millions of dollars.

Aside from their legal disputes, Dr. Dre and Nicole have traded allegations and insults. What should have been discussed privately became a public back-and-forth.

Netizens reportedly bombarded Dre and Nicole's daughter Truly with negative comments about the divorce. Following the couple's quarrel, their divorce was finalized in 2021.

Dre's friend, Breyon Prescott, posted a photo of the Beats Electronics founder on Instagram to commemorate the latter's new status. In the snap, Dre sat in front of letter balloons that read "DIVORCED AF."
