Nick Cannon is known for having multiple children with many women. However, even though his relationships with the children's mothers never worked out, his relationships with his children have remained his top priority.

Nick has become a pro at being a father, but it all started when he and his then-wife, Mariah Carey, had twins. Moroccan and Monroe, Nick's first children, were born in 2011 when Nick and Mariah were a happy couple.

However, shortly after their twins were born, the couple began to experience marital problems and decided that it would be best to separate. They separated for a short time and then finalized their divorce in 2014.

Despite being divorced, Mariah and Nick kept the focus solely on their children. They still spent every holiday together and ensured that the kids were cared for. Nick wanted to ensure that he kept a close bond with his children.

Nick also revealed that while he was happy he could give his kids a good life, he wanted them to grow up knowing how fortunate they were and share that with others. He made it clear he would like his children to grow up to be helpful.

Nick has fathered many children with many different women as the years have passed. Still, his ethos on fatherhood has not changed, and he makes time for each of his children individually to ensure they share good relationships.

Nick is no longer in a relationship with his children's mothers, but that does not stop the star from fostering healthy co-parenting relationships with each woman. Nick is a responsible father whose primary concern is his children.

NICK FATHERED MORE CHILDREN

After divorcing Mariah, Nick had four more children with two different women. Brittany Bell was the first woman that Nick had more children with. The pair welcomed a son, Golden, in February 2017 and a daughter, Powerful, in December 2017.

Nick did not stop there. DJ Abby De La Rosa was the next woman to carry Nick's children, and the twin gene came through again. The pair welcomed twin sons Zion and Zillion in June 2021.

The star was happy with all his children, but he was not finished being a father and has gone on to father even more children than those mentioned above. In fact, two different women were pregnant with Nick's babies at the same time.

In the same month, his sixth child was born, and it was revealed that he was expecting his seventh with model Alyssa Scott. Alyssa announced her pregnancy in January but then deleted the post.

Only in May did she announce the baby's gender and name, Zen S. Cannon. It was then evident that Nick Cannon was the baby's father. Zen was born on June 23, and Alyssa announced his birth on Instagram.

ZEN FACED HEALTH STRUGGLES

While Zen's birth was met with much excitement and love, there was pain around the corner for the little family as Zen faced shocking health troubles. The infant had rare brain cancer.

The couple began to notice that the baby had health troubles when his breathing patterns seemed to be erratic days after his birth. They said it appeared as though he had a sinus infection or something similar.

When the couple took their baby to professionals, the doctors said it didn't seem to be anything to be concerned about. Sadly, they were wrong, and a few weeks later, a doctor noticed that Zen's head was growing more rapidly than it should have.

Two months after Zen was born, Nick and Alyssa got the worst news they could've expected, baby Zen had a high-grade glioma. Glioma is a rare and aggressive brain cancer that grows and spreads quickly.

A doctor determined that glioma affects eight to 12 percent of children and is very difficult to treat. Although a shunt was placed in Zen's skull to drain fluid, doctors noticed that his tumor continued to grow.

Nick and Alyssa then began discussing other treatments, one of which included chemotherapy. Having undergone chemotherapy to treat his lupus, Nick knew what it did to a person's body. Alyssa and Nick then decided not to pursue invasive treatments and let Zen live his life comfortably.

The pair decided to make every day of their baby's life magical until his final days. They started with Disneyland and celebrated his birthday every month as a celebration of him still being alive.

However, by November 2021, Zen began to struggle in earnest. Nick revealed that at times he would not breathe for five to ten seconds, after which he would gasp, which Nick could see scared little Zen.

The couple then decided to spend a final, peaceful day at the beach with their son. They took him to the beach and watched the sunrise with him. Finally, on December 5, 2021, the baby took his last breath.

Nick and Alyssa were both by their baby's side as he passed away, and Nick saw it as a blessing that he got to be there. On his talk show "Nick Cannon," Nick revealed his feelings about his son's passing, saying:

“We had a short time with a true angel. My heart is shattered."

Nick then said he had some regrets, like not taking more pictures or hugging his son more. He then mentioned some details about his son's personality, saying: "He was the most loving baby."

NICK COULDN'T SLEEP BECAUSE OF GRIEF AND JOY

At the same time that Cannon suffered the loss of his seventh baby, Zen, he discovered that he was expecting his eighth baby with Bre Tiese. Bre was married to Johnny Manziel, but the couple finalized their divorce in 2021.

Although Nick knew about Bre's pregnancy before Zen passed, he could not figure out when he should announce that he was expecting his eighth child. He said that trying to figure out when to announce bothered him. He shared:

“It kept me up at night.”

Nick explained that he could not sleep because at the same time that he felt grief about Zen passing away, he felt joy at expecting his eighth child. He finally welcomed his son with Bre on July 26, 2022.

Bre shared an emotional YouTube video that showed her going through labor at home and unmedicated. In the video, Nick is seen by her side, supporting her throughout the labor and delivery of their son.

Nick can be seen holding on to Bre as she labors and can then be seen cutting baby Legendary's umbilical cord. Bre posted a YouTube video of her labor and delivery and an Instagram photo to announce her baby's birth.

The couple appeared to be very happy with their son's birth as they both took to Instagram to share their son's birth and the joy they felt at welcoming their baby into the world. Nick then shared a photo of himself, Bre, and Legendary after Legendary's birth.

Bre shared on her Instagram post that she could not have made it through the labor and delivery of her son without Nick by her side and thanked him for being the best and most supportive partner she could have asked for.

Bre and Nick have also started an Instagram page for their son, where an ultrasound was posted a couple of months ago, and now a photo after his birth has been posted, too.
