Moroccan Scott Cannon & Twin Sister Monroe Have Famous Parents — Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey

Moroccan Scott Cannon is a twin and the son of not one but two of Hollywood's most successful stars. The 11-year-old and her twin brother developed personalities just a few months after they were born.

Moroccan Scott and Monroe were born in Los Angeles, California, on April 30, 2011. Their parents are TV host, actor, and comedian Nick Cannon and Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Mariah Carey.

Their father, Nick, told Us Weekly that his eldest children started developing personalities just a few months after their birth.

The television host revealed this his son Moroccan Scott is more like him and has a laid-back personality, while his daughter Monroe was "a diva like her mom."

That's not all Nick revealed about his twins, who were a few months old at the time. The actor continued by saying that Monroe usually wants things immediately, and Moroccan Scott is more patient and isn't demanding like his twin sister.

Realizing that Mariah and Nick's fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe are already 11 years old shows how fast time passes. It feels like just yesterday that the two stars welcomed their bundles of joy, who they lovingly call "Roc" and "Roe."

Despite having such famous parents, the twins seem to have remained humble while growing up in the spotlight. Moroccan and Monroe's humility are all thanks to their loving parents.

The twins are adored by Mariah and Nick and have continued to receive unconditional love from their parents even after their divorce in 2016. The singer and the television host also still support one another and are raising their kids well together.

In 2020, the songstress shared cute photos of her, Moroccan, and Monroe spending Christmas together while rocking matching colorful printed pajamas. The doting mom has prioritized significant milestones in her kids' lives since birth and spends as much time with them as possible.

The singer is always out and about with the pair; she even takes them to events. In August 2015, Mariah took her kids to her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. She received a star on the landmark with her two favorite people by her side; how sweet.

The trio did step out looking super stylish, of course, with the twins looking lovely in white and Mariah wearing black. In a cute moment, Moroccan tiptoed behind his mom during the ceremony while she was busy taking photos.

Mariah and the kids also still attend events with Nick, despite their separation. Moroccan, Monroe, Mariah, and Nick attended the 2018 Kids' Choice Awards together.

The family looked so adorable together, mainly because they wore matching outfits. Mariah and Monroe wore leather outfits, while Moroccan and Nick stepped out in white pants and hoodies. It was such a cute moment for them and their mini versions.

Nick tries as much as he can to ensure his kids don't grow up entitled and teaches them to help others.

When Moroccan and Monroe were 17 months old, the comedian said during an interview that he wanted his eldest kids to understand how fortunate they are. "I want [them] to grow up helping others," he told People magazine.

The rapper further revealed how he was raised in a low-income home by his grandmother. He also stated that his grandmother always took foster kids in and helped anyone, a lesson Nick has held on to growing up.

Moroccan and Monroe's dad also expressed in the interview how much his twins love technology and are always playing with his laptop or iPad. Nick said his kids are a generation that loves computers, but as they get older, he'll make sure he knows what they are doing online to be safe.

Speaking to E! News Monday in 2014, the actor expressed that he didn't want his kids to follow in his and Mariah's footsteps and be in showbiz. Nick said:

"I actually don't want them to be in the business, but I understand that people have fallen in love with them, and [they have] fans and stuff."

Well, the protective dad seems to have changed his mind about his kids joining Hollywood since then because Monroe is now in the business. Nick's daughter made her modeling debut at ten when she appeared in an advert for OshKosh B'gosh, a kid's clothing company.

Monroe portrayed Mariah in the ad and wore a replica of her mom's look from her 1990 music video for "Someday." Her mom wore OshKosh jeans in the video. Monroe's proud dad shared the video on Instagram and expressed what a "proud poppa" he was.

Over the years, Mariah Carey has become synonymous with Christmas, and one of her holiday-themed songs is "Falling in Love at Christmas." This time around, the songstress had her kids join her in the Christmas cheer while recording her music video.

In 2021, the award-winning singer featured her kids in the video for her Christmas song "Fall in Love at Christmas." The video showed the twins making an appearance by hugging their mom.

In a short cameo, Monroe and Moroccan show up towards the end of the video to hug Mariah. The "Falling in Love at Christmas" track also features top R&B singer Khalid and gospel star Kirk Franklin.

Mariah and Nick's twins are still relatively young and will continue to live a lavish lifestyle as the kids of such famous parents.
