Jenna Fischer's Husband Lee Kirk Once Appeared on 'The Office' — All We Know About Him
Jenna Fischer's husband, Lee Kirk, used to play a pretty awkward character in the hit TV comedy "The Office." Find out what role the actress's husband portrayed in the critically acclaimed TV show.
Jenna Fischer shot to fame for playing Pam Beesley in the widely praised NBC sitcom "The Office." Her on-screen marriage to actor John Krasinki's character, Jim Halpert, and her popularity as a well-loved office receptionist contributed to her ascent to popularity.
Even after the famous series ended, many viewers continued to root for Halpert and Beesley as a couple, even though Fischer had already found happiness with her real-life husband, Lee Kirk.

WHO IS LEE KIRK, JENNA FISCHER'S HUSBAND?
Kirk is no stranger to working in the entertainment industry, as he is a successful writer, director, and actor. His writing credits include the films "Ordinary World" (2016), "The Giant Mechanical Man" (2012), and "Pants on Fire" (2008).
Kirk's most notable achievement as a filmmaker, even though he only has a handful of credits to his name, was the episode of "The Office" titled "Vandalism," which aired in 2013, and the 2003 short film "The Man Who Invented the Moon."
Kirk was also the producer for the 2009 "Sad Happy Sucker" production in Los Angeles. Despite the many facets of his profession, Lee has had a few minor appearances in television series.

HOW LONG HAVE JENNA FISCHER AND LEE KIRK BEEN TOGETHER?
Fischer and Kirk have been together for more than a decade. They began dating in January 2008. In a 2012 interview with Vulture, Fischer recounted meeting Kirk at a short film festival and working together to develop a film.
Fischer, much like Kirk, has shown an interest in producing films and taking part in the production process of filmmaking. It looks like a good fortune for her that she was able to find her future husband in the same field.
Although she had met Kirk in the past, way before they were paired to make a short film, Fischer noted that she did not know him on a deeper level. Between exchanging ideas and writing drafts, she fell in love with Kirk. She said:
"I was developing feelings for him because this is my first producing job. I wanted to be professional! And here I am, falling in love with the writer."
According to Fischer, their meetings evolved into dates, and she became wary about telling Kirk she had feelings for him. She likened their relationship to a love story on the big screen. They eventually declared their feelings for one other after eight months of dating.
Cooperating in the artistic process while dating Kirk became natural and comfortable for Fischer. They ultimately released "The Giant Mechanical Man." Fischer believed the film significantly impacted her and Kirk's relationship. She remarked:
"In a way, I think the movie helped us fall in love, and our falling in love helped the movie."
Fischer and Kirk finally got engaged in June 2009 while on vacation in Europe. They were married in July 2010. Several of "The Office" actors were there to celebrate the couple's happy occasion.
One of Fischer's co-stars, Rainn Wilson, couldn't help but share on Twitter the momentous occasion and called it the most beautiful wedding he had attended.
Since tying the knot, Fischer and Kirk have been blessed with two children: son Weston Lee and daughter Harper Marie. They welcomed Weston in 2011, while their youngest daughter was born in 2014.
Fischer's marriage to Kirk is her second chance at love. She was married to James Gunn, the director of "Guardians of the Galaxy," for eight years until they divorced in 2008. They never had children together.
LEE KIRK HAD A CAMEO ON THE OFFICE: AS WHO DID HE STAR?
Although the audience admired Fischer and Krasinki's adorable chemistry as married couple Pam Beesley and Jim Halpert in the critically acclaimed sitcom "The Office," some viewers may have missed Kirk's presence in one of the show's episodes.
Fischer revealed in a recent discussion with her co-host and former co-star Angela Kinsey in their "The Office Ladies" podcast that Kirk appeared briefly in the 18th episode of the show's sixth season.
Not only was Kirk's appearance in the comedy series a lovely cameo, but it also reflects the work dynamic and strong chemistry in "The Office."
In the episode titled "The Delivery: Part 2," Pam was taken to the hospital, where she welcomed her and Jim's first child, Cece. The episode also follows the story of Pam's hospitalization after giving birth to Cece.
When Pam had difficulty feeding her baby, one of the nurses sent an awkward lactation expert named Clark, portrayed by Kirk, to her room. Even though Clark professionally performed the lactation procedure, Jim found the sight rather unsettling.

According to Fischer, the show's brilliant writers came up with the idea of having a lactation consultant. She said that her co-star Paul Liberstein, who played Tom Flenderson, proposed that Kirk play the role.
Liberstein went on to convince Fischer that the scene where Kirk examines her breast would be a funny idea. Other cast members also explained that by doing so, Fischer would feel more comfortable in such an intimate scenario.
She first thought it would be awkward to share a scene with Kirk, but it turned out quite the contrary. The sweet scene quickly became one of the most memorable episodes for their audience.
Not only was Kirk's appearance in the comedy series a lovely cameo, but it also reflects the work dynamic and strong chemistry in "The Office." Their concerted effort brought forth outstanding outcomes as well.
Fischer scored a nomination for an Emmy award in the category of Best Supporting Actress. She also bagged two Screen Actors Guild awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy.
