Sara Bareilles and Joe Tippett have been together for several years and are in the entertainment industry. The singer/songwriter hasn't been shy about discussing her relationship with her boyfriend, actor Joe Tippett.

In July 2020, she told People how her boyfriend looked after her when she got COVID in early April. Thankfully, she has since recovered; however, the star hasn't stopped talking about her partner's greatness.

Bareilles said Tippett did a "good job" taking care of her while she was not well. The Grammy Award-nominee further said:

"He was a good friend and companion through all of that."

She also expressed gratitude that she had a "very mild case" of the disease and said she was lucky and didn't even "need to go to the hospital." Despite the illness not being that bad for her, unlike her "Waitress" co-star Nick Cordero who tragically died of the disease in July 2020, the "Love Song" songstress opened up about her scary experience with the disease.

She said the thing that made it scary was that the whole time "you're waiting for it to get worse." The star advised that people should "listen" to their bodies and be attentive to any changes, especially respiratory issues.

When Bareilles First Met Tippett

Sara Bareilles and Joe Tippett met in 2015 at the American Repertory Theater when Tippett auditioned for a role in "Waitress." According to Bareille's anniversary posts on social media, the actors started dating in September 2016.

Tippett got the part of Earl in the production, for which his girlfriend wrote the music and lyrics. "Waitress" went on to earn four Tony Awards nominations in 2016. News that the pair were a couple came in 2017 after they started making public appearances. In May 2017, the star gushed about how life-changing working on "Waitress" was for her. She said:

"My colleagues, my best friend, and my boyfriend, like all of these things have come to me because of the show. And it's really beautiful."

Sara Bareilles and Joe Tippett are both Broadway stars. Tippet is also known for starring in the NBC series "Rise." The actors may have only met in 2016; however, this wasn't the first time they had worked together.

The 42-year-old has been open about her struggle with mental health.

They worked together in 2015 in the musical "Waitress," and their relationship evolved off the stage. Tippett was part of the musical before it moved to Broadway and acted alongside Bareilles in the production with him as Earl and his girlfriend as Jenna.

Their trip to Finland on New Year's in 2022 was one of their vacations. The singer took to Instagram to share a series of photos of the couple during their trip.

The 42-year-old has been open about her struggle with mental health and described the previous year as a "very, very low year" for her in her caption. The star said she was grateful for experiencing joy again because she got help.

She also thanked her partner and friends who also went on the trip. She expressed she was relieved and felt like herself after getting medication for her mental health. The singer/songwriter said she would find her way again and revealed it now felt "possible" for her. Bareilles also showed off how much fun they had on the trip by posting Beautiful images of them on sleighs and other beautiful snaps like the Northern Lights.
