So, Hargitay and Hermann adopted their beautiful daughter, Amaya Josephine, in April 2011. Six months later, the couple welcomed their third child and adopted son, Andrew Nicolas, into the family. Since becoming parents of three, Hargitay and Hermann have had the most thrilling experience, especially the actress.
She has often opened up about motherhood and how rewarding it can be. She once described being a mother as the most important thing she would do.
So, considering what Hargitay thinks about being a parent, it is no surprise that she spends time with her children and husband despite her busy schedule. In March 2020, the Golden Globe award winner told People:
"Being at home, this is my happy place. The idea of being home changes everything, and I can see it with my kids too, that idea of 'Oh, okay, Mama's home, everything is fine.' And in this house, it's happy chaos when everyone is here."
But despite how much Hargitay loves being at home, the actress says it is not easy to balance work and family life. Nevertheless, Hargitay has managed to make it work. For the Hollywood star, as long as she has a joyful house, she will always be at peace.
